“That’s my girl.” He says before tightening his grip on my hips and fucking me into oblivion.
I collapse on my bed, gasping for breath. Sweat coats my skin as aftershocks leave my core tingling.
Angling my head to the side, I watch as Spencer removes and discards the condom.
When did he put one on?
It’s not like I was worried. I am on the pill.
He kisses my shoulder before leaving his number in my phone and slipping out my bedroom door.
When my heartbeat slows down and my breathing returns to normal, I roll over and sigh.
This started out as the shittiest day I’ve had in years and turned into so much more.
My stomach growls, reminding me I never finished dinner. I throw on my silky robe and head to the kitchen to grab my burger and onion rings.
My steps falter as my gaze lands on Justine and Connor cuddling on the couch. Justine glares at me before placing her hand on Connor’s thigh.
“Who was he?” Connor asks, glancing at the front door.
“Not you, and that’s all that matters.”
I grab my food from the refrigerator and make my way back to my room.
My phone chimes with a text.
I told you the most reserved were the loudest and dirtiest. I bet your roommates were turned on just listening to you scream my name. I know I was.
Fuck. My. Life.
Justine and Connor heard me.
My face blushes, but deep inside, I don’t care. It was the best sex of my life, and if I’m lucky, it will happen again.
And soon.
Chapter Four
SPENCER
My eyes scan the arena, hoping to land on a certain fiery redhead, even though she doesn’t know who I really am.
She only knows me as Spencer, not Spencer Reed, left winger, number seventeen, and alternate captain of the Savannah Sharks.
I’ve tried telling her, but I chickened out at the last minute.
Will she think differently when she learns I’m a professional hockey player?
Will she act like the money difference means nothing?
It always does, though. Money always changes things in a relationship.
And right now, this thing we have going on is damn near perfect.
It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve met Savannah in the museum. We’ve spent almost every night together, except for the nights I’ve been traveling for away games.
But even then, we’ve texted on and off all night.
