“You did what?” Lucky asked her.

“I dropped the pan of brownies,” Trinity said quietly. “I didn’t mean to… I swear!”

“I made two half sheet pans of brownies; each pan serves forty to fifty people. They dropped half of the brownies for the club,” Tater explained.

It made sense now. Not only did the girls sneak brownies, they dropped half of them on the floor.

“They were still warm and after we cut two squares and put them in the bowl, I backed into the pan and it fell over,” Trinity confessed.

“It’s not just her fault,” Emilee added. “I helped her clean it up and hide the evidence.”

Arrow sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Emilee, do you think that was respectful to Uncle Tater? He made rules for a reason, and you made the choice to outright disobey him and in the process, you made it so half of the club won’t get dessert tonight.”

“No, Daddy. It wasn't respectful. I'm sorry.”

“I appreciate your honesty, Kitten, but you know there are consequences for breaking rules and being disrespectful,” Arrow said, his tone firm but not unkind. “We'll discuss your punishment after I talk to Uncle Tater. For now, I want you to sit here and think about why what you did was wrong.”

“Well, brother, what do you think?” Arrow asked Tater once they were out of earshot of the girls.

Tater’s back was to the women, and he broke into a huge grin. “It’s just brownies, no harm done. Most of us could use to lose a few pounds.”

“Still, they shouldn’t have been sneaking dessert and not following directions,” Lucky said. “A punishment is necessary.”

“I’m a big believer in making sure the punishment fits the crime,” Arrow added. “If it was your little who did this, how would you discipline her?”

“I’d paddle her butt for sneaking, disobeying and then hiding the mistake from me and then take away dessert for a week,” Tater said. “Obviously, I’m not going to spank your girls, no matter how tempting it might be.” Nor would Arrow allow any other man to spank his girl. Spanking, like sex, was intimate.

“I think no dessert or sweets of any kind for a week is more than reasonable,” Arrow said.

“Perfect punishment for Trinity. Do you know how many sweets she comes in contact with during the week at work? I like it,” Lucky said. “And don’t worry, I’ll take care of the rest. My little girl has a long session with her Daddy tonight.”

“Don’t be too hard on her,” Arrow said.

“Oh? Why not? Do you know something I don’t?” Lucky asked.

“I know it sounds strange coming from me. I am the most hard-nosed of all of us, but I have a feeling Trinity was only acting this way to help Emilee become more comfortable letting her little out here. You know, helping her feel safe.”

Lucky thought for a minute, and they all turned to look over at the girls. Trinity had reached over and squeezed Emilee’s hand. She was speaking in low turns to the other woman. Arrow couldn’t hear what they were saying, but he knew based on the look on Emilee’s face it was comforting. Lucky must have noticed because he smiled at Arrow and nodded.

The trio walked back over to stand in front of the girls.

“Listen up, girls, Uncle Tater has something to say,” Lucky told them.

“I am very disappointed in my little angels,” he started. “Because of your antics, half of the club will not get dessert tonight. Since they aren’t getting dessert, you aren’t either. I don’t mean tonight, because you already had a large serving of my brownies. There will be no dessert for you tomorrow or forthe next week. The next time you’re allowed sweets of any kind will be after next week’s meeting.”

“What? You can’t be serious!” Trinity said.

“He is very serious, Little Rabbit,” Lucky told her. “And no dessert for a week is only the beginning of your punishment. You still have to answer for disobeying, hiding what you did from Daddy and running away from us.”

As if she didn’t hear what he’d just said, Trinity spoke again. “No sweets for a week? An entire week? Seven whole days? I… I… can’t!”

“You can because if you sneak a sweet this week, you will not only get your butt blistered, but the week will also start over. Do I make myself clear?” Lucky’s told was cold and calculated, none of the men in the room would question him when using it.

“Yes, Daddy!” Trinity finally replied.

“Good. Now, I’m not done here. I have a meeting with Savage and Irish in fifteen minutes. That is plenty of time to start your punishment. Say goodbye to Emilee and go upstairs. You know how I want you.”

“Yes, Daddy,” Trinity said again. She turned to Emilee and Arrow did not miss the wink she gave her. “It was nice coloring with you tonight. I hope we can do it again soon! Come by and see me at Day & Night this week? I can’t offer you any treats but I can offer you a good cup of coffee.”
