Chapter 24 – Sam

After indulging in a quickie, Tyler and I fell back asleep for the better part of the morning into early afternoon. Laying my head on his chest was better than any sleeping pill I could imagine.

In an attempt to keep Mason off the bed, Tyler had ordered him his own dog bed that sat at the foot of ours. Usually though, after we both passed out, he’d still climb up and tuck himself between us.

So, when my eyes slowly opened, I was greeted by our large ball of fluff giving me puppy kisses.

Giggling, I tried to lift him off me, but he was relentless.

Still half asleep, Tyler mumbled, “Mason, you better not be trying to steal my woman.”

Finally, when Mason decided my face was sufficiently cleaned, I glanced at the clock.

“Fuck Ty, come on. We don’t want to be late for the game.”

When he didn’t move, I angled the puppy toward him to let his assault of wet kisses continue on my better half.

Between laughs, he finally said, “Alright, alright, I’m up. Get this ferocious beast off me.

Thirty minutes later, we were both showered and downstairs waiting on Jacinda to pick up Mason for the night.

Tyler spotted the small suitcase I had sitting by the front door.

“Do I need to pack too?” He asked pointing to the bag.

“No, I packed your stuff.”

“And I don’t get any hints about what we are doing after the game?” I asked curiously.

“Nope. But I hope you love it,” I said while stretching up on my tip toes to kiss him.

A few minutes later, Jacinda had picked up Mason, and we were out the door.

I had insisted on driving even though Tyler knew the details of the first half of our adventure. It was my first time driving his fancy SUV, and he was not handling it well. I’d never seen a bigger backseat driver.

“Trust Fund, if you don’t sit back and relax, I’m going to have to blindfold you. And I don’t think you’ll like that too much.”

Without taking his eyes off the road, he said, “Kansas, if you blindfold me, just remember payback is a bitch.”

“Payback?” My eyes darted over to him as we sat at a red light.

“Oh Kansas, you have no idea about all the ways I could make you scream while you’re blindfolded.” He said the words like they were no big deal…like he hadn’t just said something to set me on fire.

Just the thought of that sent a rush of heat straight to my sex. This man had me coming undone with just the promise of the dirty things he’d do to me.

I decided to change the subject to some small talk before I completely drenched my panties and pulled over to fuck him in the backseat.

When we finally arrived at the arena, Tyler’s worries about my driving seemed to disappear. They were instead replaced with sheer excitement, happier than a kid seeing what Santa brought them.

“You’ve been to games before, right, Ty?” I asked not really understanding what the big deal was.

“I mean yeah, I’ve been to Knicks games when I was younger, but I’ve never been here. Never seen the Celtics play live. And never been to a game with the girl of my dreams,” he said leaning over to kiss me on the cheek.

Our seats weren’t on the floor, but they weren’t nose-bleed either. I knew Tyler could have walked up to that box-office and paid for the best seats in the house, but he didn’t. He honored my request of not pulling out his wallet, and you know what? He acted like those seats were the best ones he ever sat in.

The game was electrifying and had us on the edge of our seats until the final buzzer sounded.

Never did he ignore me for the game, and never did I feel like he wasn’t as into me as anything happening on the court. I couldn’t help the silly grin on my face every time I glanced over at him. It still floored me that this amazing man was mine. How the hell did I get so lucky?
