‘Famished!’

‘Shall I order sushi for dinner?’

I heard laughter coming from the shower before it was switched off. Opening the door, William said, ‘Go ahead. Why not move to Japan, Jase?’

‘I’d love to.’

‘I’d love it if you did too.’

Jason frowned in his direction. ‘Cunt.’

Chuckling, I stretched my arms. ‘What time is it?’

‘Nearly three.’

I gasped. We had been at it for ages! ‘Oh my God.’

‘Yeah.’ Jason nodded, seeming to have heard my thoughts. ‘I thought you’d never finish.’

Heat mounted in my face. ‘I’m so sorry.’

He tipped his head from side to side. ‘Was a bit of a shock waking up to that. Then again, I might as well get used to it. Next time, I’ll use my headphones. Unfortunately for me, they were out of battery this time around. So, if we receive complaints from the neighbours, it’s on your shoulders, because there wasn’t a chance I was going to listen to that.’

‘Yeah. I accept full responsibility.’

He chuckled. ‘Anyway, I’m happy for you.’

My heart tingled.

‘Cara, I’m done using the bathroom,’ William said then.

‘Right.’ I sighed. ‘Unless you want to see me naked, close the door,’ I said to Jason.

He scoffed. ‘As if I haven’t seen you naked countless times before. Guess you dating my brother changes things, though,’ he said amusedly and shut the door between us.

‘You’ve seen her naked?’ William asked, sounding appalled.

‘Cry me a fucking river, Will,’ Jason replied, his voice flat.

‘How did this happen?’

‘Skinny dipping. Next time we’ll do it in your tears.’

That made William laugh.

As I was climbing out of the bed, he opened the door.

‘Are you busy on Friday?’ he asked.

I frowned, thinking. ‘I don’t think so, why?’

‘I’d like to take you out to dinner.’

A big smile lit up my face. Buzzing with excitement, I felt as though my insides were melting into a gooey mess. ‘Oh. Then yes, I am busy on Friday – busy spending time with you.’

He chuckled. ‘Great.’

‘Will you stay the night today?’ I asked, and my question appeared to take him by surprise.
