“When we land, do your witchy thing, Raven. Feel him out. Not on a hex and make his dick fall off way,” Lucian added. “That’s hard to explain.”

The man laughed.

“Gotcha.”

Trey couldn’t help himself.

“BUT. THAT. IS. THE. FUN. PART. PLEASE. LET. HIM. JULIAN. IS. NOT. HERE. LET’S. HAVE. SOME. FUN.”

That wasn’t happening.

“NO, Trey,” Lucian said, putting a stop to that immediately. Julian was under an exorbitant amount of stress. No one was adding to that.

“ANOTHER. DEBBIE. DOWNER. GREAT. YOU’D. THINK. A. ONE. EYED. PIRATE. WITH. PLENTY. OF. BOOTY. WOULD. BE. FUN.”

Raven actually laughed.

Instead of going there, Lucian focused on the email so they could learn about the other detective.

“We have information on the partner, Genesis Manning. Bethany was spot on with that name too,” he admitted.

They waited as he read it to them.

He looked confused.

“What?” Bodhi asked.

“Well, she’s an exemplary cop. Her file is all accolades—minus things that she got dinged with while partnering with the other detective. It looks as if he’s dragging her down. I wonder how she got stuck with him?”

The ME on the flight shook his head.

“I feel bad for her,” Bodhi admitted. “When detectives have a bad cop on the team, they both get blamed. Maybe she’s not the problem, and instead, it’s all him.”

They would find out.

If she was bad, just like her partner, Lucian would make sure she was removed too.

He didn’t play those games. He had a long history of going after bad cops as a State Attorney General and previously a DA.

The Littlemoons solved, but he tore through a courtroom like a tornado through the Midwest.

“Here’s the plan. When we land, Ridge, you’re going to represent the agency. You’re pissed, and filing a lawsuit. Be angry.”

He lifted a brow.

“Are we? Because I’m pretty sure Julian’s wife is going to have a suit against her when she takes the whole police department apart at the seams.”

Wasn’t that the truth?

“That could be, but if I know Victoria Littlemoon and my wife, they are digging in and going to want to solve this. So much for a weekend planning a wedding.”
