It.

This was going to be a high-profile case that they were NOT hired to work. Now, he needed to see what they were up against.

Lucian shared his phone so they could read the message from Julian, and as they did, he opened his email on his laptop. In it, he had information.

Apparently, the town had a few missing women. Oh, and he knew where this list likely came from.

As his partner intently focused on the email, Ridge had to admit he was a little excited and curious. He didn’t really get to investigate.

He was a businessman.

That was his role for the company.

“How many bodies are there?” Ridge asked.

Lucian filled him in on what they knew.

“They found one, but the dead say there are three.”

He pointed.

“There are four on the list.”

He was aware.

“Maybe one isn’t connected,” Bodhi offered. “Or they haven’t located her yet.”

That was a possibility.

In fact, anything was. They knew they had to stick to the facts until they got deeper into this.

As Lucian kept going through the email, he found out all he could about the cops. They were going to be his focus.

Or his target.

That was a better word.

“We have information on the cops. Detective Jon Wilkes is fifty-nine, and due to retire shortly. He’s been with the police there for thirty years.”

They listened.

“He’s had some tough cases. Julian dug deep into the man’s personal life.”

Trey used the radio.
