The woman smiled sadistically.

“Then, Cyrus, I began framing you for my death. See, when you’re gone, the cops won’t believe you didn’t kill them. When you go missing, they’ll think you’ve run.”

He gasped for air, his whole body going numb. He tired to crawl, but she put her foot on his back, pinning him down. She was so strong, as that rage filled her.

“As for me, I’ll just have my daddy say that I was in an accident, forgot who I was, and was in an institution. See, Cyrus, I’m about to turn up, post car accident.”

He struggled to breathe.

Jessamy continued.

“The audacity to try and kill me the way you offed your sluts. You are an embarrassment.”

Her father began cleaning up the bottle and glass with the cyanide. He smashed them into pieces, and put them in another bag to take and dump in the water.

Jessamy crouched down.

“When I am found, I’ll give an interview. It seems that you’ll be a distant memory. In fact, as we speak, I’ve been under a doctor’s care for weeks now.”

Her father chuckled.

“Oh, Cyrus. This is how you take care of business. You always were a coward. The minute Jessamy called me and told me what happened, I took care of this. Her alibi is covered. Money buys things like this. She’s in the clear. You are just dead.”

Cyrus couldn’t believe this. They’d been behind the last two women’s deaths and assault.

He grabbed his throat.

“Please,” he whispered.

Jessamy smiled.

“We’re going to end this once and for all. Cyrus, you’re going to a deep, dark hole. Oh, and by the way… you’re a man whore and you gave me fucking HERPES!”

She kicked him in the face, breaking his nose and knocking him backward.

When he fell, life left him.

Cyrus, the serial killer Casanova, and the framed man, ceased to exist.

Well, on this side.

As for his afterlife…

He was about to pay for his sins.

For a very long time.

Police Precinct

Twenty Minutes Later

When they saw Genesis coming, her badge and gun were gone, and that said it all.

Genesis Manning had been fired for trying to solve four cold cases, a murder, and an assault.

No good deed went unpunished.
