The man carried a suit in the car for that reason alone. Sometimes, plans got changed.
As for their killer, someone texted Jennie to lure her there, and that had been their mistake. If that phone was tied to the man, they’d likely have him.
For now though, it was time to play.
As the man was put in a room, they got ready.
The two cops knew they needed to move fast. The man was seen heading in, so his father-in-law would likely come to the rescue, not wanting his family dragged through the mud anymore.
“We hit him hard,” Bishop said. “Lucian is going in with us,” she added. “He’s scary, and most lawyers know him—if only by name.”
“He’s going to crack,” Tori said. “He’s under pressure. What befuddles me is if he didn’t kill everyone, who the hell did?”
That was a good question.
By him showing up, they had a shadow of a doubt that he was the murderer.
“We need all of his mistresses, and then, we’re going to have to go back through. It had to be someone we talked to,” Genesis admitted.
“A jealous man. Maybe a jealous woman.”
Well, they’d do it.
Back at the hotel, the rest of the team was going back over everything. It was a short list.
Their suspects pool was small, but hopefully, they nailed it.
Coral Titus
Kiersten Day
Giles Felton
Bill Stevenson
Tori was putting Coral at the top of the list because she’d been angry. When they talked to her, about her friend, Aimee’s death, she wanted to hurt Cyrus.
Well, this was definitely hurting him.
She was a smart woman.
Maybe she found out about all his side pieces, and took action to avenge her fallen friend.
Then, there was the stripper who worked with Keri Hester. She said she was jealous of her ‘friend’ bagging the man as a client and sugar daddy.
A mean stripper…
Oh, they could do damage.
Then, there was Giles Felton. He was Marny’s fiancé, until he found out she had done him dirty. What if he knew all along? They’d not been able to find him to interview him.
And that was a problem.
Hell.
It was suspicious that he worked at ground zero for all of those murdered women.
Maybe payback for stealing his fiancée’s virginity was to frame him for murder, and then take out the woman who broke his heart.
