She smiled.

“Oh, Lucian, I must really love you and my husband because this is going to cost him. I foresee one hell of a beach vacation in the spring where I get my ass pampered on a beach. There will be sun, sand, and a pool boy bringing me drinks because I will be picturing them naked in MY HEAD. Bishop will be joining us.”

He laughed.

“Anything for you, Wyn. I love you.”

“I love you too, Ridge. Don’t do anything that’s going to get yourself hurt. You better come out of the static the same person.”

He blew her a kiss.

“We will—if Bishop is okay with this.”

Oh, somehow, she figured she would be. There was no doubt they called her first for a reason. She was going to be the much harder sell.

Bishop was chill, and the one who told her that their husbands had a thing for each other.

“Be safe, boys.”

And with that, she hung up.

As Wyn went back into the main part of the jet, she took a seat and thought about it all.

Really, this didn’t bother her.

Why?

There was no one she trusted more than Lucian. The man was protective of her husband, and he’d given him a reason to live.

Now, they’d both better be okay.

Or she’d find a way to bring them back, and then kill them all over again.

With Bishop’s help.

No doubt.

Modern Woman

Boutique

Saturday

Afternoon.

They got there just in time.

With the weather coming in, the boutique was going to be closing early.

As they rushed in, the blonde inside glanced at her watch.

“We’re closing.”

Genesis shook the snow from her coat and hair. She opened her jacket, and pulled it back. On her hip, the woman saw the badge and gun.

Bishop did the same.
