They all hugged her and reveled in that moment together as family and friends. When she was done crying, Tori urged her on.

“Finish the note,” Tori said. “Then, your wedding planning weekend can begin.”

Because she loved these women, she read it out loud to share.

‘Tori, Bex, Bish, and Bethany are going to help you. I couldn’t be there but I know you’re going to make this a dream wedding. For the last four years, I planned and put money away to prep for the woman who would come into my life, and I finally have her. Anything you want is yours, Hailey, Baby. I want this to be our dream wedding. My only demand is you don’t stress it. The ladies with you will handle everything. Thank you for marrying me, and thank you for giving me a family. I’m a Littlemoon now because of you, and it feels nice to have people who have my back. See you when you get back Monday morning. I love you, Hailey. I love you so much that I can’t wait to watch you come down the aisle with that spectacular dress.

Forever, Bo.’

Lordy, but she wanted to keep crying. This man undid her so many times a day. It almost felt like a dream and as if it wasn’t real.

With love, she held the picture and note against her body.

“You guys were behind this with him?” she asked, never having that kind of comradery before. She had a family now too, and it was amazing.

No.

It was spectacular to belong.

The women surrounded her again and hugged her.

“We love you, Hailey. We almost lost you, and that was scary. You’re our sister.”

She sniffled.

This was crazy, and she couldn’t believe it.

“I love you guys. You’re sneaky, tricky, and way too good at lying. I’m going to be suspicious from now on.”

They all laughed.

Of course, they were.

More than half of them were cops at one point. Cops made the best liars. They called it interrogation room techniques.

Hey.

Whatever it took to get the job done.

“What else did he leave you?” Bexley asked, wanting her to keep going.

This was only the beginning.

Moving closer, Hailey looked at the things on the table and saw that there was an appointment schedule. Tomorrow, she had a full day starting in the late morning.

“What’s in that?” Tori asked.

Hailey saw what she was pointing at and picked up a jewelry box to open it.

Inside, there was a platinum locket shaped like a heart. When she opened it, she saw Holly and Jake in one side, and the other side was empty.

They clued her in.

“That side is for your new husband and son,” Tori said. “He wanted you to have it so you can carry all of the people you love in your heart.”

And that did her in.

She began crying.
