“I’ll start planning,” she said. “When do you want to do it?” she asked.
That’s when he caught her off guard.
“I changed my mind.”
She blinked.
“Pardon?” she asked. “What does that mean.”
“I don’t want to wait, Bexley. I want to elope. I know we said big wedding, but I just want it to be you, me, our son, and a witness or two.”
She smiled.
“I can do that.”
“Does that make you sad?” he asked. “The last thing I ever want to do is make you sad. We can do a big wedding if that’s what you want, but I need to do it soon.”
She gave him a kiss.
“Mr. Davies, I just want to marry you. I don’t care where or when. I’ll buy a dress and meet you at the courthouse any day of the week or I’ll plan the fastest wedding that a woman has ever put together. It’s about being yours forever. I don’t care about the where. Want to get married at night in the forest with our family?”
For some reason, that appealed to him.
“It would be easier, and we can do it when we get home. I will rock out that fairy wedding dress to my sexy woodland witch.”
And this was why he loved her.
Already, his worries were fading away. She did want to marry him.
Because he was grateful, he slipped his hand into her hair, and his mouth took hers in a seductive kiss.
She knew they were being watched, but honestly…
Kissing Raven was like the ultimate thing. You didn’t stress what was around you when it happened. You just let the ride continue.
The whole time, she focused on his wicked mouth.
Slowly, he set her mouth free, and she’d be lying if she said her panties weren’t wet from that amazing lip lock.
“Oh, Raven,” she said, touching his face. “You’re the only man I’ll ever love. I’ll marry you as soon as we get back.”
He kissed her on the tip of her nose.
“Plan that woodsy wedding, my love. I think I want something magical in the trees.”
Then, it was done.
“Give me two weeks.”
That he could do.
“I love you, Bexley. Never forget that,” he whispered as her hand was on his thigh.
God.
He wanted his woman.
It had felt like years since they’d made love, but she was healing and they had five days left until the six week mark. Raven was waiting for her to make a move.
