“Uh, should it?”

Bishop laughed.

And explained.

“No. I have an overprotective husband who is stuck at home with a small baby. If anything happens to me on this trip, he’s screwed.”

The woman finally got it and giggled in amusement.

“Oh, well, then we’ll have to make sure you’re safe here on your stay with us.”

She passed Bishop her key.

The woman continued.

“I have two other luxury suites for both Mrs. Carvil and Mrs. Darby.”

Hailey looked around. First, at being called that. It was so surreal to have Bodhi’s last name tied to her.

“Pardon?” she asked. “Did you say luxury suites?” she asked, not sure if that was right.

She had booked a simple room.

Tori clued her in.

“Bodhi didn’t want you in a regular room. He said his queen gets a suite. He wanted you to enjoy it.”

She was aghast.

“He didn’t have to do that!”

They all found that amusing.

“Do you know any of the men in our world?” Tori asked. “His woman almost died. Good luck shaking that protectiveness.”

It was all kinds of sweet.

“I don’t deserve that man,” she said. “He’s the sweetest guy in the whole world. I’m lucky.”

Bex gave her partner a kiss on the cheek.

“You do deserve him. You’re the sweetest woman in the whole world. The two of you are a perfect couple. You deserve each other.”

The more Hailey heard it, the more she believed it.

From behind the desk, the concierge kept typing, pulling up that reservation.

“It’s the wedding suite. I hope that’s okay.”

She shrugged.

“If there is a bed, and I can chill out for this weekend, I’m good.”

It wasn’t like Bodhi was going to show up and they’d be able to elope here.

She wished he would, but…

He was busy with work and watching Holly.
