Her gun and badge.
She giggled.
“God. So sexy,” Bishop admitted.
“Thank you,” he said.
She didn’t miss a beat.
“I meant my gun and badge.”
Lucian slapped her on the ass, knowing she was busting him like always.
She clipped them to her hip, and kissed her husband.
“You’re not sexy. You’re scorching hot and make my brain melt.”
Yeah, he’d take that. Lucian felt the same about his wife.
Not far away, Tori was chomping at the bit to get this case handled. She knew what she needed from her people.
“Bex and Raven, head to the hotel. We’re doing the interviews, but I may need you to help us in a bit. We’re going to go to each of the dead women’s jobs or visit their friends to see if we can find out who they were meeting. We can’t use the detective’s report and assume it’s trustworthy. Jon Wilkes is a nightmare.”
No one questioned the detective part.
“Do you think all of the dead women found in the water are connected?” Ridge asked, curiously.
She nodded.
How could it not be?
“Yes. I’m willing to bet on it. We have three women in the same location? That’s not going to be a coincidence. Now, we just have to play find the ghosts to talk to them. If we’re lucky, we won’t find the lawyer’s wife. That might be the only thing not connected to this.”
The detective just shook her head.
“This is going to be an interesting day,” Genesis admitted. “I have no idea what I’ve gotten myself into.”
And that was the absolute truth.
Oh, she had no idea.
But it was going to be a wild ride.
Count on it.

Same Time
When the man arrived at his humble and lonely abode, it was shocking that the whole neighborhood didn’t know it.
The whole time, he slammed doors and stomped around in a temper tantrum of sorts.
He.
