They didn’t mind.

Bodhi wasn’t done. He knew they’d need someone to help Tori solve this. Bexley was there, so…

“What about Raven? Won’t he be upset if we don’t tell him his wife is being detained? I would be if you guys didn’t let me in on it.”

Julian opened his mouth, but before he could, his phone chimed.

When he pulled it from his pocket, he realized that wouldn’t be a problem. Raven was texting him.

‘I will meet you at the airport. I’m going.’

What the hell?

Did the man have his house bugged?

Julian looked around.

“Uh, problem?” his business partner asked, seeing he was confused.

He tossed Lucian his phone, and the man laughed. Well, so much for that.

“He’s very astute. I don’t know why you’re surprised,” he admitted. “He’s a witch, and his woman is in lockdown.”

Julian knew he was right.

“He’s tied to Bexley. I’m betting she called for him, and he heard her. Witches are…witchy. I’m leaving it at that. I don’t want to know too much. It freaks me out—all that mind melding shit.”

That was for the best.

For everyone.

No one understood what they did, let alone what Raven was able to conjure up in his downtime.

“Okay, go do what you need to do. If you need me, I want you to call me. I’ll catch a flight out if my wife needs me.”

Lucian reassured him.

“I know my wife. Bishop is going to be this cop’s worst nightmare if he tossed her ass into a holding cell as a cop. She’s going to ride him like a cheap pair of panties.”

Oh, there was no doubt there.

She would be relentless. Put the two women on the warpath, and this cop…

He was going to regret his life by the time they were done.

“I’m going to start researching the police department. Bethany, who were the cops?” Lucian asked.

She gave them what she could.

“DETECTIVE. JON. WILKES. AND. DETECTIVE. IN. THE. BEGINNING. MANNING.”

They all stared at the radio.

What was that?

A glitch?

“In the beginning?” Bodhi asked. “Like in the Bible?” he inquired.
