HIS.
HOME.
Julian understood that pain, but this was three days past that for Claire, and no one was convincing her otherwise. She had always sworn if she saw her sister, she’d take her down in anger.
Well, it was happening.
Unfortunately.
All Julian wanted was some quiet, peace at his business again, and a miracle.
Was that too much to ask for?
Apparently, it was.
In the room with him, there were dead hanging out. Whenever Tori wasn’t around, they flocked to him.
Trey was doing Trey things, and Mary Beth, Booth’s spirit guide and sister, was there as well.
With Bethany gone, someone had to babysit Tori’s dead brother, and it certainly wasn’t going to be him.
He had way too much shit on his plate.
At the knock at his door, he rolled his neck, trying to alleviate the stress and find some patience so he didn’t lose his temper.
No one wanted that.
Julian worked damn hard at not being angry, and he was on the cusp of being just that.
When someone knocked again, not heeding him ignoring it the first time, he had no choice but to answer. It couldn’t be many people. It was after hours, and everyone was likely home.
He warned them.
“If you’re one of my sisters, go away. I’m not in the mood,” he stated.
At the tone, he got his answer.
Lucian laughed and opened the door. Only, he wasn’t alone.
Ridge was right behind him, like usual.
They were connected at the aura, and if one man was lurking, mainly Lucian, Ridge was not far away.
The man was his tuning fork, so to speak.
When Lucian went into the static, to help the company, and in cases, Ridge was needed to help slow the vibrations down so Lucian could see what was to be seen.
Their psychic gifts went hand-in-hand. There couldn’t be a static walk without both of them.
“Are you okay?” Lucian asked, parking his ass in one of the chairs, Ridge still beside him.
Julian laughed sardonically.
“No. My family is about to go nuclear. I’m at the point where I should just fire both sisters and call it a day.”
Lucian knew how bad it was getting if he was going to do that. Only, he hoped Julian wouldn’t take that route. They needed everyone.
Hopefully, he calmed down, but Lucian got it.
