waist. “Hello, love. How was class?”
Sabrina lost herself in his stormy gray eyes and reached up to caress his cheek, all feelings of
jealousy evaporating at the passion in his eyes. She rose on her toes to kiss him on the mouth and
smiled. “Good.”
“I missed you today.” He kissed her again and then leaned back to gaze into her eyes.
“I missed you, too.”
“Get a room,” Ethan said with a laugh.
Chase grinned. “We have one. Upstairs.”
Sydney cleared her throat and Chase turned. “I’m sorry, Sydney. Sabrina, you remember Sydney
from the ball this weekend?”
Sabrina nodded.
“It’s wonderful to see you again, Sabrina.” Sydney smiled, but it didn’t reach her eyes.
“Likewise.” Sabrina could feel that this woman didn’t like her, but it was subtle, like a faint
winter chill.
“Sydney, give me a few hours to contemplate what we talked about. I’ll get back to you tonight.”
Sydney gave Chase a bright smile. “I look forward to your call.” She nodded to Sabrina and
smiled at Ethan. “Wonderful to see you again, Ethan.” She patted his cheek as she walked by.
Ethan clenched his jaw. “I’ll walk you out.”
Sydney gave a last nod to Chase and followed Ethan to the front door.
Sabrina turned and headed up the stairs, Chase right behind her. She giggled and started running.
Chase laughed behind her and was right on her heels until they reached their top-floor bedroom. She
turned and wrapped her arms around him.
He cupped her cheek and kissed her until her lips were swollen. When his hands trailed down her
body, she backed away. “I need to shower,” she murmured against his lips. “I’ve been dancing all
day.”
“Lucky Jayson, having his hands all over you all day.”
Sabrina laughed. “He would never be inappropriate.” She backed away, but Chase followed her
into the bathroom and watched her undress. Before stepping into the shower, she glanced back at him.
“Wanna help?” she asked, a sultry smile on her face.
He grinned and began to undress. “Absolutely.”
