You’re adventurous. Don’t be afraid to experiment and try new things. The most important thing is to

talk about it, both before and after. Communication will keep your marriage healthy.” The bartender

handed them their drinks, and they headed back to the table. “You do need to come to the Gatherings

again, though.”

“I’ve been there.”

“You leave early.”

“I want to be home when Sabrina gets home.”

“Performances are over now. Bring her or no, but you need to be there the whole time.”

Chase made a face.

“It might solve the issues you’re beginning to see. You both enjoyed it the last time. Bring her next

week and see if you enjoy it again.” Richard smiled. “But this time, you can have her any time you

want.”

After dinner, the band began to play and couples filled the dance floor. Chase escorted Sabrina out

and slid his arm around her waist, pulling her close. “I love dancing with you.”

Sabrina smiled up at him, her heart filling with love. “I do too. It always reminds me of the night

we met.”

Chase grinned. “That night changed my life.”

Sabrina leaned her head against his chest. It had changed her life too. She couldn’t imagine what it

would have been like after being taken had she not met Chase first. There would have been nothing to

ground her, nothing to hope for. Everything would have been lost.

“What are you thinking about?” Chase asked.

“What it would have been like had we not met.”

He shook his head. “I don’t even want to imagine.”

“Yeah.”

Chase continued to lead her around the dance floor until the next song began and Richard cut in.

“May I?”

Chase kissed her and then stepped back to allow Richard to take her into his arms. He held her at

a proper distance and gave her a fatherly smile. “Enjoying yourself?”

“I am. This is wonderful.”

“Good. How are things at home?” She grinned and Richard laughed. “You like being married?”
