“Yes. Very much so.”
He studied her face and smiled. “I’m glad to hear that.” They were quiet for a few moments. “Are
you going to come to the Gathering Friday?”
“Chase mentioned it a few days ago.” She stared at Richard’s black bow tie. “Part of me wants to
go.”
“Only part of you?”
“I don’t want to upset Chase.”
Richard’s brows came together. “Why would it upset Chase?”
“I don’t know how he’d feel now that we’re married.”
Richard chuckled. “You two have talked about what each of you likes, right?”
Sabrina nodded.
“Sabrina. Despite your concerns, you two are incredibly compatible. You have an unquenchable
sex drive, which Chase is enjoying, I’m sure. But he has other interests. He loves to watch. And you
need more than one man to satisfy you.”
Sabrina opened her mouth to protest, but he arched his brow and pursed his lips. She closed her
eyes and tried to keep the tears from escaping. Oh, why couldn’t she be normal? She wanted to be a
normal woman with normal desires.
Richard tipped up her chin. “Sabrina, look at me.”
She opened her eyes, and a tear escaped. He gently wiped it away. “Embrace who you are. Don’t
be ashamed. There’s nothing wrong with you.”
Sabrina blinked, trying to clear the tears, and swallowed hard.
“If you two will let yourselves, you will have an incredible marriage. Stop trying to be something
you’re not.” He leaned forward. “Sabrina, when you went to the Gathering the first time, do you know
that Chase nearly came from just watching you and I together?”
“He did?”
Richard nodded.
Sabrina studied his face and found nothing but sincerity. “He really enjoys it?”
“Yes. He does. As do you.”
Sabrina allowed herself a small smile as the song ended. Richard kissed her cheek. “Don’t be
ashamed of who and what you are. Embrace it. Let Chase embrace it. Come on Friday and enjoy
