Chase nodded with a soft smile. “Yeah. Everything’s good.”

She glanced between the two men and felt a settled . . . something between the two of them that

she hadn’t felt before. But it was peaceful, and she was content in that simple knowledge.

“Ready to go dress shopping?” Grace asked and Sabrina couldn’t stop the grin from spreading

across her face. The other women laughed. “I’ll take that as a yes.”

Twenty minutes later, Grace, Sylvia, Ethan, and Sabrina walked through the doors of a bridal

boutique.

“Sylvia!” An older woman hurried over to the group as they walked through the glass doors. She

wore an exquisitely tailored black pantsuit and her strawberry blonde hair was piled into a neat bun

at the top of her head.

“Celia!” Sylvia and the other woman kissed each other’s cheeks.

“Show me the beautiful bride,” Celia said, eyes wide with anticipation.

Sylvia turned to Sabrina. “Sabrina, this is Celia Abrams, the owner of the boutique. Celia, this is

Sabrina Mansfield, the bride-to-be.”

Celia greeted her with a kiss on each cheek and then stepped back, holding Sabrina’s hands away

from her side. “Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful!” She spun her around and laughed. “Oh, you will be a

delight to dress.” She reached out for Grace. “Hello, Grace. How are you, darling?”

Grace smiled. “I’m wonderful, Celia. How are you?”

Celia winked at her. “Eager to get this beautiful girl dressed.” She noticed Ethan at last. “Who’s

this handsome young man? I know he’s not the groom.”

Ethan smiled. “I’m Ethan. I’m Sabrina’s bodyguard.”

Celina nodded after looking him up and down. “Very nice to meet you, Ethan.” She turned and

took Sabrina’s arm. “Now, Sabrina, tell me all about yourself.”

An hour and a half later, Sabrina felt like she’d tried on a hundred dresses. Since the wedding

was the following week, it had to be a simple one “off the rack.” Sabrina didn’t see what the big deal

was. They were all beautiful dresses and after a while, she couldn’t tell much of a difference between

them.

Sabrina stared at herself in the mirror and sighed. She wore a satin ball gown with pink

embroidering along the edge. “They’re all beautiful.” She turned to look at Grace and Sylvia. Ethan

glanced up from a game on his phone. “How do I choose?”
