I leave tomorrow, and Hunter has a plan for our last night together. It's bittersweet, but this new chapter will be good. A knock at the door interrupts my thoughts and packing, and I give Taylor a questioning look since we both aren’t expecting anyone. Hunter is at practice, and Caleb is meeting up with the basketball players. Walking over to the door, I open it and see Hunter standing there, all breathless.

“Umm, what are you doing here?” I ask. “We aren’t going out till later, I thought?” I quickly look behind me to check the time.

“Yes, we are still going out, but that isn’t why I’m here.” He has a smile on his face and I start to become more confused. What else could it be? I step aside, letting him, and he immediately sits on the couch.

“What’s going on that made you sprint here?”

“I’ve been thinking about this for the last week, so just hear me out.” He looks at me with a pleading look, and I stay quiet, letting him continue. “I’ve never met someone who is more stubborn and so headstrong as you. When you are focused on a goal, you go at it with everything you have. You love fiercely and are the most reliable person. You put others' needs before yours, even when it hurts you.” It feels like all the breath has been knocked from my lungs. “But you are also the most amazing woman I’ve ever met, and I love you so much.”

“I love you too, but you could have waited to say this to me tonight.” A laugh escapes me, and he just rolls his eyes.

“I’m not done,” He sighs, and I wave my hand, telling him to carry on. “I told you all of those things because I'm going to New York with you.”

There is something wrong with my hearing because it sounds like he just said he’s going with me to New York.

“Like helping me move? Because that's the only reason I can see you going with me.” He wouldn’t drop everything to move with me, right?

“Well, yes, I will be helping you move, but I will also be moving there too.”

So, yes, he is making a crazy decision.

“Hunter, no, you can’t do this. Your whole life is here in Boston, and you have your band and schooling.” I say, trying to reason with him.

“Emma,” he cups my face with both hands, “you are my whole life. I would travel the whole world for you if that's what you wanted.” If my heart hasn't burst yet, it sure did then. “I talked with the guys and they are on our side with this. They know how much you need this and how much you mean to me. Music will always be there but I chose a different path for me.”

“It’s not dancing, right?” I question him, scared that he might actually do something like that.

“You will have to wait till we get to New York.” He erupts with laughter at the worry on my face causing me to laugh along with him.

The next day

“Okay, do you have everything?” Taylor asks one last time as I stand in front of our- her front door. I knew this was going to be hard, but I didn’t expect it to be like this.

“No, because I don’t have my best friend coming with me,” I tell her and throw my arms around her neck, giving her one last hug as Hunter fills up his car with some of my things.

“I'm going to miss the fuck out of you, Em, but this is what you are made to do. I couldn’t be more proud of who you are and what you will do to achieve your goals.”

“I hope you and your new roommate don’t have too much fun.” I pout. Turns out that Caleb will be moving into my old room. Since I’m moving out, Taylor needed someone to come in fast to help with the bills. To say that I’m nervous about this new arrangement is an understatement. They’re going to tear each other apart.

I pull back from her and take a deep breath in. “Plus, it’s only a three-and-a-half hour drive from here, so don’t think I won’t be coming to visit you at every chance I get.”

“I know, I know, and you will drag Caleb with you as well.” I laugh at the idea of her and Caleb in a car together for more than five minutes.

“Speaking of the Devil,” She murmurs.

The elevator door dings open, and right comes in Caleb and Hunter, laughing at whatever one of them had said to each other. I’m going to miss this and them the most. After Hunter told me that he’ll be joining me in New York we decided to go over to his house to say our goodbyes to the guys. The plan was to leave as early in the morning as possible, so Hunter ended up staying the night at my house. It was not easy telling them goodbye. Garrett had known about it for the longest and still wasn’t accepting it; especially now that Hunter was going with me. Justin was just happy and wanted what was best for us, which ended up being the same for the rest. Matt did uncontrollably cry as we left, it was quite hilarious.

“Alright, babe, are you ready to get out of here?” Hunter wraps his arms around me, laying his chin on the top of my head.

“Let’s do it.”

I give one last hug to Taylor and Caleb before walking towards this new chapter that I’m about to discover.

We walk out of the building, and I see four guys standing around Hunter's car. Not just any random four guys. It’s Garrett, Justin, Matt, and Cole.

“Hunter, what are they doing here?” I stop walking and look at my boyfriend, who pretends to have an innocent look on his face.

“Okay, so don’t be mad-”
