“Rudra is calling you,” said Uma.
Why is he calling me?
He was probably pissed that she didn’t listen to his command and rest in the master bedroom.
Holding her head high and eyes locked with his, she walked towards the training area. The Kabali men stepped aside with their weapons. The demon waited until she stood in front of him.
“Why did you call me?” she asked.
His grey eyes flashed at her challenging tone.
“To test your skills in fighting,” he replied.
She was shocked. “What?”
“Since you don’t seem all that tired and don’t want to rest, you can show me your fighting skills.”
She held her chin high. “I’m trained in fighting. My brothers made sure I knew how to defend myself. And I have defended myself many times.”
His eyes flashed. “Then do it now and show me.” He looked at someone behind her and gave a slight nod.
She turned, and her eyes widened when she saw a man charging at her. Her instincts automatically kicked in, and she ducked while kicking the man on his shins, making him flip.
The man fell to the ground with a thud, and she heard cheers from the group.
“Thakvar tigress!” someone cheered.
She felt proud of herself as she looked at the demon. But the demon didn’t seem impressed.
He signaled to another man.
She was able to do the same with the other man as well. She flipped him.
As cheers erupted again, she smiled.
She knew the Kabali men weren’t using their real strength against her, as they didn’t want to hurt her, but she felt good showing off her defensive moves.
But the demon once again didn’t seem all that impressed.
“Give her a knife,” he told one of his men.
She was handed a knife.
“Let’s check your skill with a weapon,” the demon said. “This time against me.”
She looked at him. “I know how to use a knife. I stabbed your arm before our wedding ceremony.” She sounded cocky even though she had been terrified at that time.
His mouth twisted at her taunt. “Then do it again,” he challenged. “I will not move my feet. I will stay in place while you attack. If you draw blood, you win.”
She was shocked by what seemed to be an easy challenge. He was tall and broad, a large target. She could easily nick him if he stayed in the same place.
“If I win, you have to grant me a wish,” she challenged. “You will personally take me to Thakvar mansion to visit my family. You’ll also tell me everything about the past and Tantra.”
He looked at her. “And if you don’t win?”
“Then I’ll grant you a wish.”
His eyes flashed. “Any wish?”
