He didn’t then. And he didn’t now.
Which put a remarkable amount of power in his wife’s dainty little hands.
“Earth to Caleb,” Snow said. “Did I fry your brain?”
Shaking his head, he dropped the curl to wrap his arms around her. “Singed maybe,” he joked, sliding the previous thoughts to the back of his mind. “The last thing I want to do is get off this bed, but there’s something I need to throw away.”
Her face scrunched up in the cutest way. “You go do that,” she said, shifting herself onto the bed. Lying on her side with her head balanced on her hand, she said, “Don’t take too long.”
As ordered, Caleb crossed the short distance to the bathroom, tossed the condom into the trash, and pranced back to the bed. “Move over, woman,” he said, climbing under the covers.
As she was still on top of them, Snow looked at him as if he’d forgotten something.
“What?” he asked.
“Are we going to sleep now?”
Mimicking her pose, he answered, “Not if you join me under here.”
She rolled her eyes and climbed under the covers. “Now what?”
Without responding, he pinned her beneath him and proceeded to drop kisses along her jawline. “Now I have my way with you.”
Snow chuckled. “Didn’t you just do that?”
He looked up to meet her eyes. “Uh ... no. You had your way with me, remember?”
“Ah,” she said, nodding. “I did kind of do that, didn’t I?”
“You did,” he said and returned to kissing her.
Sliding her arms around his neck, she asked, “Did I do a good job?”
Again, he stopped to look at her. “Darling, you did such a good job, I’m going to let you have your way with me anytime you want from now on.”
That evoked a full-out laugh. “Never let anyone say Caleb McGraw isn’t a generous man,” she said once the laughter subsided.
Growing serious, he said, “Only with you, Snow. Only with you.” Those three words were dangerously close to the ones he was determined to keep to himself.
She sighed, toying with his hair. Her mouth opened as if to say something, but she clamped it shut.
He narrowed his eyes. “What were you going to say?”
Snow brushed off the question. “I believe you were about to have your way with me?”
Yes, Caleb thought. Yes, I am.
“Oh, that’s right.” He slid his knee between her legs. “That is what I was about to do.”
Kissing her chin changed to kissing her neck and shoulders. Then lower, to her breasts. “Isn’t this what you demanded a little while ago?” he asked before taking a taut nipple between his teeth. Snow writhed off the bed with a gasp. “I’ll take that as a yes,” he said as he moved to the other breast. He made sure to give both equal attention, moving lower once Snow’s breathing became a series of rapid pants.
Her hands tangled in his hair as his tongue teased around her navel. He kissed an inch lower and Snow bent her knees, planting her feet beside his shoulders.
“Hold on, darling,” he said, watching her body arch for him. “I’m about to return the favor.”
Chapter 17
Snow screamed Caleb’s name four more times that night. Two while he was returning the favor alone. By the time they’d fallen asleep somewhere around two in the morning, she was physically spent.
