I rolled my eyes, grabbed my bag, and headed back to the living room. I had just thrown everything I needed into my purse when my doorbell rang. I opened the door with a grin and picked up my bag.

“Jason mentioned you’d be coming early,” I laughed.

“I’m betting he wouldn’t tell you anything either,” Raven joked.

“Nope, not one fucking word. Why are you both at the door? Did you really expect I wouldn’t be done packing a bag?”

“Yes,” they laughed.

“Come on. Let’s get this show on the road.”

We hopped in the car and I tried to figure out where we were headed. My confusion grew when Sasha took the airport cut off. I didn’t have my passport, so I wasn’t sure what the plan was. I also couldn’t fathom where we could be flying to.

“Guys…”

“Don’t worry. I have your passport,” Raven said, passing it back to me.

“Why on earth do you have it?”

“Because we didn’t want you knowing we were going away or that we were flying. I got it from your safe last time you stayed at Jason’s.”

“How the hell did you get in my safe?”

“Leah, we’ve been friends for years. If you don’t want me getting into your shit, maybe don’t use my birthday as the passcode, yeah?”

“Of course. It doesn’t matter, I don’t have anything to hide. Not from either of you.”

“Good,” Sasha said, parking the car in one of the airport lots. “Now that we’ve got that out of the way, we need to get our asses in gear or we’re going to miss our flight.”

We ran through the airport like our asses were on fire and I couldn’t help but grin when we finally reached our gate. We were going to fucking Miami!

“Oh my God, you guys! We’re going to Florida?”

“Can’t get anything passed you,” Raven giggled.

“Sasha, you made it seem like we were going somewhere boring!”

“That was your assumption. All I said was that it wasn’t a spa weekend.”

In no time, we were settling into our seats on the plane. It was a short flight, just three hours, and I was excited to see where we were heading once we landed. We hopped in a rental car and a half hour later, my jaw dropped as we pulled up to a gorgeous beach-front property.

“Holy shit, Sasha. This place must cost an arm and a leg!” I exclaimed.

“Actually, it’s not costing us a penny. You remember me mentioning I had nine brothers and sisters, right?”

“Yes, it wasn’t that long ago that you told me.”

I stifled a laugh at her mock glare. Raven wasn’t as successful at stifling hers and I loved seeing her more like her old self.

“Anyway, we’re spread all over the States and Canada. One of my brothers is a real estate guru. He has a friend of a friend of a friend that owns this place and is letting us use it until Monday.”

“This is amazing, Sasha,” I said, pulling her in for a hug.

“It really is, Sash. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m ready to check out the beach.”

“Agreed. Let’s get changed.”

We grabbed our bags and headed up to the bedrooms to get changed. A few minutes later, we were in our bikinis and laying on the beach.
