“Material?” Nathan blinked and shot Will a glance before his attention returned to her. “Don’t tell me you made this yourself?”
Self-consciously Ruby buried her face in the crook of his neck and nodded.
Nathan pressed a kiss to her temple and murmured, “Amazing.”
“Our girl has many talents, doesn’t she?” The awe in Will’s voice made tingles course through her body and goosebumps erupt on her skin.
“Time to find those scarfs and discover all the ways we can use this amazing bed to pleasure our woman.” Nathan ran firm hands up and down her arms.
As if to remind her, she had two men, Will pressed his chest against her back and placed a hot open-mouthed kiss above the tattoo on her shoulder.
Getting their schedules synchronized had been a pain in the ass, but finally they found something that worked for them all. Ruby often worked outside business hours, Nathan attended out-of-town conferences, and Will’s schedule was erratic at the best of times.
Since Ruby lived closest to Club Indigo, they decided on staying the weekends at her place. With Nathan’s home being closer to both his and Ruby’s work, they spent most of their time at his house the rest of the week. Ruby didn’t have a clue where Will lived, but according to him, his home was a rundown apartment in one of the tougher neighborhoods in the city. To quote him, “No way in hell Ruby was going to walk those streets—even in the daylight.” Ruby chuckled and shook her head. The detective was as protective as they came.
Living with two Dominants and sharing her life with Will and Nathan suited her. Will, who was a complete morning person, would lure her out of bed for a rough bout of shower sex after his five-mile run. The first time he woke her at god-awful six a.m., she'd slapped him. Will only laughed, swatted her ass, and hauled her into the shower. After a week, she realized she was enjoying his early morning attentions. Nathan was teaching her Tai Chi and Yoga in the evenings. Not only did the exercise help the with sore muscles from bending over tattoos, those lessons ended most nights in some interesting poses – which might or might not be part of the Kama Sutra. What she liked even more were when the three of them did things, both sexual and non-sexual, together.
Tonight however, she was alone in her bedroom getting ready for a night at the club. Nathan would be there already, doing an early monitoring round, and Will should come in after finishing his paperwork on a raid.
Glancing at her phone—no message from him or Nathan—she applied a second layer of mascara. Her phone pinged. A twinge of regret shot through her when the id showed the message was from Sandra. Immediately Ruby felt guilty. Sandra had been her best friend for years, and Ruby should be more grateful.
[6:38] Sandra: We haven’t seen each other in ages. Are you at Club Indigo tonight?
Before Ruby could type a reply, her phone dinged with another message.
[6:38] Jewel: Luke and I would like to have you and the men over for supper on Sunday. Are you available?
Ruby flicked her tongue over her lip piercing. Her relationship with Luke was improving, but—although he’d kept his tongue—he didn’t seem happy at all with Ruby’s polyamorous liaison with two men. Her momma on the other hand simply adored both Will and Nathan. What to do?
First the easy message.
[6:42] Ruby: Yes, I’ll be at Club Indigo. Will GT let you out of his ropes long enough to talk? ‘winking face with tongue emoji’
[6:42] Sandra: ‘rolling on the floor laughing emoji’
Ruby toyed with her mascara, pulled out the wand and placed another layer. Stalling, coward? With a determined gesture, she pushed the wand back in the holder and closed the tube firmly.
[6:49] Ruby: Mom wants dinner Sunday.
Before she changed her mind, she shot the message to both men.
[6:50] Nathan: Sure babe, what time?
Ruby stared at the phone and waited for Will to respond.
