He’s positively captivating.
His groan is drawn out before he utters, “That was…”
“Majestic.” A smile dances on my lips as he kisses my shoulder.
“Don’t move.”
I do as he says and wait for him to return with a damp washcloth, which he uses to delicately clean me up. The warmth, plus his soft circling motions, soothe my back, and my eyelids flutter. They’re suddenly heavy with elated satisfaction.
When he pauses, I glance behind me, where he sinks onto his knees. “What are you doing?” I ask, my voice a silky whisper of contentment.
His teeth sink into my ass cheek in answer. “Fuck, I’ve been wanting to do that all damn week.”

OWEN
Addie exits my bedroom, and my next breath gets lodged in my throat.
She’s wearing only a shirt and panties, and as if that image weren’t hot enough on its own, the shirt is mine.
She spins on her heel, graceful and beautiful, flashing my last name printed across the back of the shirt. It’s one I used to wear during workouts and practices when I played baseball.
It looks like it belongs to her, and my chest stirs for the hundredth time this week.
“If you still played baseball, I’d wear this to your games,” she says as she sashays toward me and wraps her arms around my waist.
“No way.” I shake my head. “I’d miss the ball every time because I wouldn’t be able to take my eyes off you.”
“You’re too charming for your own good, you know?” She rests her chin on my chest and peeks up at me. “It’s just as well—I don’t know anything about baseball.”
“Unacceptable,” I say hoarsely. As assertive as I would’ve liked to sound, such a thing isn’t possible when she looks at me like this.
Addie’s gaze is so pure and comforting. A thousand other descriptions come to mind too. Her eyes just make me feel things I’ve never experienced before.
I dip my head for a slow kiss. With a deep breath, I nod over my shoulder. “How about a glass of wine on the deck?”
“Perfect.” She links our hands, and I lead her toward the kitchen.
With full glasses perched in our grip, we settle onto two cushioned chairs on my back deck, the three-quarter moon bright tonight. On my phone, I pull up my app and turn the surrounding lights on, dimming them to a romantic setting.
The hot tub buzzes with the jets, which are on a timer, and Addie hooks her thumb toward it. “Nice hot tub.”
“We can get in later if you want.”
“I don’t have a swimsuit.”
“You don’t need it.” I wink, and this earns me a mischievous grin. Unable to stand even the three feet between us, I jerk her chair closer to me.
She nearly spills her drink, but she doesn’t complain.
“How was your day?” I ask, my voice low.
“You want to know about my day?”
“I want to know everything about you.”
