Evan’s cheeks turned a little pink, and he brought his hand to rub the back of his neck. This was making him nervous.

“That’s great!” I chimed in as Evan’s cheeks continued to redden.

“And I can totally see where his inspiration came from. If I had a hot writing partner like you––damn!” The guy leaned in toward me and wiggled his eyebrows.

“What do you do? I’m sorry, I didn’t get your name...?” I asked.

“I’m a baker, and it’s David. Can you sign it too?” He pushed the book toward me.

“Of course,” I nodded.

He leaned down over the table again. “I’ve read a couple of yours, too.”

I smiled up at him, and I could see his eyes dilate. “What did you think?”

“That I wouldn’t mind you tying me up.” He grabbed his book, tucked it under his arm, and winked in my direction as he held his hand out for Evan to fist bump.

“What did he say to you?” Evan asked as he leaned close to my ear after David walked away.

I bit my lip and tried to hold in the laugh that wanted to burst out of me. “That he wanted me to tie him up.”

He laughed out loud and leaned in even closer, his lips touching my ear. “You can do that to me later.”

My eyes widened as my head turned in his direction. “Seriously?”

“Why not? It’s my turn,” he shrugged. Our stare-off was interrupted by the next person in line. We talked to our readers for the next hour and signed their book copies.

No one else offered to let me tie them up, but we did get some comments about how cute we were together.

“How long do you think before Isobel gets wind of us being outed?”

He pulled out his phone and opened the texts.

Adrian: I thought the plan was to keep your relationship on the DL?

“So, they already know,” I laughed as Evan shrugged. Neither of us cared, but with the sex appeal of the book, they’d wanted us to appear as unattached but flirtatious.

“Can’t say I care. I get to shack up with the hottest woman in the room. I’m not hiding that,” he told me proudly.

“How did they find out?”

His phone buzzed again, and he held it up.

Adrian: Only ten pictures I can find on Instagram. A few are showing tongues on Twitter. You two better start taking selfies. Make them steamy.

“Is he trying to get us to take pictures of ourselves making out?” I laughed.

“I’m game if you are...” Evan raised his eyebrows and bit his lip. God, he was adorable.

He held his phone out and pulled me to his side, hovering over my lips before he kissed me softly.

“Some of us are trying to enjoy a party here. Quit making me want to throw up.” A feminine voice laughed as she flicked Evan on the forehead. The dark-haired woman I assumed was his sister, was standing beside the table.

“Let’s see if that gives them something to talk about,” he laughed as he cropped the photo and texted it to Adrian. I found it humorous that Evan still didn’t know how to log in to his social media.

“You ready to finish up and get back to the hotel?” I asked quietly. I was still exhausted.

“Yes, please, but we have to ditch Kelly first.” He whispered the last part.
