My internal battle intensifies. It’s becoming more difficult to differentiate the demon’s needs from mine. If I gain enough power to break this magic, I can be the one to fuck her.

To hurt her.

I shake my head, trying to regain full use of my mind.

I don’t want to hurt her. And the demon is wrong to think my cock will tear her apart. I know first-hand how well her tiny body can take my thick tool.

Then we’ll use it to fuck her ass! You and the other big one can plow her ass at the same time.

I shake my head, trying to drown out the demon.

We will break her! Whatever it takes!

“Please!” I cry out, hoping to tame the demon.

Ana presses her palm against the barrier. “Are you sure?” She thinks I was pleading with her, not the demon. Her chest is heaving. She’s uncertain, but desperate to give me anything I ask for.

Use those feelings against her! Make her cave.

I struggle to contain my voice, but the words burst out. “Ana, if you ever loved me… If any of you care about me at all, you’ll do what I ask.” The battle inside me is fierce, but I can’t stop the words. I can’t even tell who’s in charge anymore.

Her body nearly crumples, but then stiffens. She presses her forehead against the barrier and looks deeply into my eyes.

Everything inside me pulses. Ana still loves me. I can see it. She wants to grant my request. She’s going to give in. I’m going to get what I want. And if the demon is right, we’ll soon have her too.

Something far darker than lust builds up inside me.

“No, my love,” she says softly. “This isn’t what you want.”

“Please!” I lunge at the invisible wall.

They all jump back in shock, the three of them creating a barrier around her.

But she breaks through their hold, enough to look into my eyes again.

And I know that she sees me. That she can see past the demon to the real me, and that she can see me better than I’ve ever been able to see myself.

“Try to rest, my love,” she says softly. “I will fix this. Together we will banish this demon forever.”

Crusher

Keeping a few paces behind the other three, I stride through the streets of Paris and up the stone steps to the place we’ll be staying. Ember and her mates went ahead with Phil.

Ana gives Blade a code, he enters it into a keypad and opens the door, and the four of us step inside.

“Holy shit, man. This place is awesome!” Flame races around the grand entryway of the mansion-like townhouse. It’s owned by the Vampiric Council, or someone Ana knows. I have no clue about the details, but whoever owns this place is rich. Flame was not kidding. There’s enough marble, gold, and overt opulence to rival the palace.

None of it’s my taste, but I can’t help but smile as I watch Flame take in all the pieces of art, all the architectural details, all the fine materials.

“Hi!” Ember calls down to us from a balcony above, and then she descends the grand stone staircase, Zuben following behind.

Ana rushes up the stairs to meet her halfway. “Is Phil okay? Is everyone okay?”

Ember places her hand on Ana’s shoulder. “Phil is just fine. Not happy, but fine. I’ve got him contained in one of the bedrooms. Ryker and Axe are guarding the door, even though that’s highly unnecessary.” She raises her voice for the last phrase and Ryker appears at the balustrade, looking down toward us.
