“They won’t find her,” Addison spat.

“Please, let me go,” I begged, trying to wiggle out of the chains.

The door opened, and all the people came in and focused on me.

“Are you hungry?” Tristan questioned, and Addison glared at him.

“She doesn’t deserve food,” Addison argued, stalked toward me, and slapped me across my face.

“Ahhh!” I groaned in pain, feeling blood pool into my mouth.

“You ruined everything. She doesn’t get anything to eat!”

“Addison, let me go please.”

“How long do you plan on holding her?” Tristan challenged, blowing out a breath.

“You just focus on getting my money into my account.” Addison poked him in the chest.

“I told you it’s complicated.”

“Tristan, please help me,” I pleaded, squeezing my eyes shut.

My heart pounded, glancing around the room at the blank walls. The room housed only the bed, with no windows.

“I’m in charge, Amelia, and I tried to warn you,” Addison fussed, eyes narrowing into slits.

“Just let me go, and I’ll leave town and forget this ever happened.”

“Maybe we should let her go. I mean we can take the money and run,” Tristan mentioned.

“Listen, we aren’t leaving until I get my payback.” Addison placed her hands on her hips, cocked her head to the side.

“How long do you plan to keep her here?” Tristan questioned.

“I don’t know yet.” Addison crossed her arms over her chest, pacing back and forth.

The guy who kidnapped me admired me with lust-filled eyes.

“How long have I been here?” I prodded to get information.

“You ask too many questions. Listen to me clearly.” Addison marched over, gripped my hair, and pulled my head to the side. I winced in pain, and she gripped her other hand around my neck, and started to choke me.

“He was mine! Do you know how long I’ve worked to get him?” she screamed and released her hand around my neck.

“Look, Addison, I’m not going to jail because you have some vendetta against her,” Tristan warned. She glared at him.

“Tristan, you don’t want to be on my bad side. Carlos, I need you to watch her,” Addison informed him. I was nervous about being alone with him.

“That’ll be extra,” Carlos replied.

“Fine. I’ll get you your money. She doesn’t eat or drink.”

“How do you think this is going to end, Addison?” Tristan grabbed her arm before she turned to leave, and Addison jerked out of his hold.

“It ends when I say it ends.”

“What about me?”
