“Why?”
“Because the people I’m close to, and I consider special, call me Kamden.”
“You just met me only a few weeks ago!”
“I know, and it’s crazy that I can’t get you out of my head. Even though I keep saying it didn’t mean anything.”
“Me too,” Arianna remarked.
“How many siblings do you have?”
“Two brothers. I’m the baby of the family, and Malik is the middle child,” Arianna said, taking a sip of her wine and crossing her legs. I finally noticed she was wearing a simple pair of jeans, a white t-shirt, and minimal makeup. But she looked more beautiful than she did in Vegas.
“I like this look on you,” I said aloud.
“People think I never dress down, but I had to go to the track for practice and wanted to be comfortable.”
“Are you serious about racing this week?”
“Yep. So, don’t get scared now and back out.”
“I have an idea,” I said.
“What is your idea, Kamden?” she softly asked, leaning back on my couch, tossing her arm on the back. I noticed her pink bra underneath that fell off her arm as she got more comfortable. I recalled tasting her sweet nipples as they hardened at my touch.
“I like hearing you call me Kamden.”
“Don’t get too comfortable with it.”
“If you win the race, I’ll donate to the charity with a blank check, and you pick the amount.”
“You can’t be serious.”
“I am.”
“What do you get if you win?” Arianna asked.
“A date with you.”
“We already had sex,” Arianna recalled, shifting in her seat.
“And it caused international news. I remember, but I’d like an official date if I win.”
“Just a date and nothing else, right?” Arianna inquired.
“A date with you, and if you win, I’ll let you name the price of the check for the charity ride.”
“It seems like I’m coming out the winner on this bet. I mean what if I say one million for charity?” she gauged for an answer.
I shrugged and refilled my wine.
“Then, it’s a million.”
She gulped the rest of her wine before she nudged it over for me to refill.
“What if I say five million?” she queried with a furrowed brow.
“I have no limit, Arianna. Give me your price if you win, but I don’t plan on losing though.”
