“Everything cool with him?” Kash asked.
“Yeah. He wanted me to stop driving, and I declined, so we came to an agreement,” I explained.
“I’ll go with you, and then we can stop at the track and do a few laps,” Kash said.
I grabbed my purse, slid on my tennis shoes, and followed Kamden out of my apartment. We headed to his car and went over to meet with Malik before we got heavy into practice.
Twenty minutes later, we parked in my spot, stepped out of the car, and held hands going into Pierce Motors. I saw Jackson and Malik standing at the receptionist desk laughing as Kash and I walked up to them.
“Hey, Arianna,” Rachel, the lobby assistant, said.
“Hey, Rachel.”
“What are you two doing here?” Jackson asked as he hugged me and shook hands with Kash.
“Malik wanted to talk to me, and I was with Kash, so we came together.”
“It wasn’t a major thing, princess. I just have an upcoming campaign I’m planning in a few months,” Malik said.
“You want to talk in your office?” I asked.
“I’m on my way out to meet with Canon. You coming by for dinner at the house?” he replied.
“Kash, you want to come?” I questioned.
“That’s fine,” Kash replied.
“Are you cool with this, Malik?” I asked.
“As long as he treats you right, I have no complaints,” Malik stated.
“Well, email me the information about the proposal, and we can get together later in the week,” I said.
“I will, Ari, and don’t forget to take it easy. I had to stop myself from getting you private security,” Malik said as he kissed my cheek.
“You overthink too much. Kash and I will be fine,” I said.
“She’s safe with me, Malik. I promise,” Kamden told him.
“I’ll hold you to that. She’s the only reason I didn’t kick your ass over this mess,” Malik answered. I rolled my eyes and waved him off as I turned to leave with Kash to head over to watch his practice and maybe get a lap in for myself. Kash closed the door, and I put my seatbelt on and waited for Kash to hop into the driver’s side. He reversed out of the parking space, and we headed to CD Enterprises.

Essence and Ry were at the track with Colton and Tennessee when we pulled up and got out of the car. I hadn’t talked to them since I decided to give our relationship another chance, so this would be the first time since the Vegas situation.
“Look at the lovely couple,” Essence joked.
“Who are you talking about?” I questioned.
“You and Kamden… duh,” Essence said.
“You could have been talking about Rylee and Colton,” I said and stuck my tongue out.
“Is the car ready, T?” Kash asked.
“Yep, you ready to take it for a spin?” Tennessee said.
