“Perfect! If I have any questions, I’ll let you know, but Tisha and Rylee have been great with keeping things on track,” Delores remarked.
I placed my shades back on, shook Julia’s hand, and hugged Delores before walking out with Rylee to head for lunch.

His stare was bold, and he assessed me, frankly. I blushed, kissing him on the cheek as Rylee walked into Macy’s; we trailed behind. Kamden wore shades and a baseball cap to cover up his identity. Rylee picked up a dress to model for me, and I shook my head, releasing my hold on Kamden’s waist.
“What about this red dress?” I asked.
“Colton will go ballistic,” Kamden said, shaking his head no.
“Why? It’s cute,” I replied.
“Ari, that dress is too short, baby,” Kamden said.
“Men have no sense of fashion,” I told him.
“I agree with you,” Rylee said, looking through the rack of designer evening gowns.
“I’m wearing black, and I think Essence is going in blue,” I said.
“Okay. Let me try this gold dress on and maybe a few of these red dresses. Colton will have to survive,” Rylee teased. I chuckled and watched her walk off toward the dressing room. Kamden checked out the suits, and I walked up behind him.
“I want you to be my date for the charity dinner,” Kamden said.
“You know the paparazzi will be there plus reporters.”
“I know, and I’m ready for the media circus. Wonder what name they’ll give us,” Kamden joked.
“Kari!” I blurted out, and we laughed together when I heard a throat clear. I turned and saw the same three women from the beauty shop.
“Can I help you?” I questioned.
“Kamden, I missed seeing you at the club,” the Brittney girl said, ignoring me.
“I’m not sure why you’re looking for me,” Kamden told her.
“We had a date, remember? Candy was there when you asked me out,” Brittney stated, trying to make me jealous.
“I’m here with my girlfriend. I don’t know you or remember asking you out,” Kamden announced.
“That’s a lie!” Brittney shouted as she stomped her feet.
“Uhm, excuse me, do we have a problem over here?” the store employee asked.
“We’re trying to shop, but they’re interrupting us,” I hissed.
“Bitch, I’ll do more than interrupt you,” Brittney spat, stepping in my face.
“You really don’t want to do this,” I said.
“Kamden, you’re acting funny now, but a few weeks ago, we slept together, and you promised to call me again,” Brittney stated.
Kamden, looking pissed, clenched his fists.
“Let’s just go,” I said.
