Rylee walked out right on time because when I turned, I felt a hand grip the back of my head, and I screamed in pain.
“What the hell!” Kamden shouted. I punched Brittney in the gut with my elbow, and she released my hair. I tried to punch her in the face, but Kamden picked me up around the waist, and I kicked and screamed to be put down.
“What just happened?” Rylee asked.
“His little girlfriend tried to fight me,” I shouted.
“I don’t even know her, Ari,” Kamden pleaded.
“Put me down!” I screamed as the girls walked out behind us, trying to egg me into a fight.
“Ari, let it go. They’re not worth it,” Rylee said.
“Can you put me down, please?” I asked Kamden.
“Better that you run now! I hate to see you on a gossip blog going to jail,” the Candy girl shouted.
I tried to break out of his hold and run toward them, but Kamden held me tight around my waist. They laughed, and I noticed the third girl recording us. I wanted to flip her off, but it would only cause more unwanted attention.
“I need to get out of here,” I said.
“We can go back to my place,” Kamden told me.
“No,” I said, removing his arm from around me.
“You don’t believe her, do you?”
“Rylee, let’s go,” I told her. We headed out of the Beverly Center Mall when a slew of paparazzi snapped our photos. I bet all of them were working together. Hiding my face, I went toward his car since I parked at his condo. Getting inside after he opened the door, Rylee slid in the backseat, and Kamden drove through the crowd of fans and paparazzi that noticed him.
“I’ll get Sarai to handle it,” Kamden told us.
“Yeah, another scandal for her to clean up for you,” I sassed, crossing my legs and sitting closer to the door, avoiding his stare. If I did a Google search, I would probably find a lot of shit Sarai had to get cleaned up. Kamden turned on Melrose and drove home as his phone rang back to back.
We pulled up to his place twenty minutes later, and I hopped out, heading to my car. Kamden snatched the keys out of my hands before I got inside and held them over my head.
“Rylee, take her car, and she’ll call you later,” Kamden said.
“Really, Kamden, you’re so childish,” I said as he bent down to kiss me on the lips.
“That won’t help you. I’m still pissed about your little girlfriends.”
“Don’t blame me because they lied to get a reaction out of you,” Kamden said.
“Are you good, boo?” Rylee asked.
I flipped him off and hugged Rylee. “I’m good. We’ll talk once I’m home,” I said.
“Okay, call me later,” Rylee said as she picked up the keys from Kamden and got inside to drive off.
“Hungry?” Kamden questioned as we walked into his condo building.
“Is this funny to you?” I asked.
“Ari, we can’t control those types of women. You know that better than anyone.”
“At least acknowledge that your past or probably present isn’t helping right now,” I said watching him hit the elevator for his penthouse.
“Are you forgetting how we met?” Kamden reminded me.
