Nash: I better stop being so antisocial

Adrestia: Yes. I still have a lot of work to do.

Nash: Okay, well, don’t stay up too late

Adrestia: Same x

Within a couple of hours, I’m toasted, but we’re having a ball. As per usual, Jack has attracted a bunch of people. A lot of women have tagged along with the other bands. Or talked their way into the VIP area, and are hanging around. I’m fine with the others doing what they want with groupies. Everyone knows it’s not my thing. Even more so now.

Like she is never far from my mind, my head goes back to the day in Adrestia’s office. I can’t help smiling at the memory. After our texts, I’d give anything to go to her tonight. It’s going to be hard when I’m away on tour. There is no way to withstand Adrestia’s charms. And fuck can she deepthroat.

Someone sits in my lap, startling me from my thoughts.

“Oh, my. Is this for me?”

“What the fuck?”

The girl on my lap touches my dick, which hardened while I was thinking about Adrestia’s epic blow job skills. Now some random woman has hold of it and is leaning into me like she is going to kiss me. I twist my torso and push her hand off me, trying to shift her.

“Are you crazy?” I yell.

She laughs as if it’s some kind of fucking joke. “Oh, come on, we can take this somewhere more private,” she says.

“Lady, get off me.” I don’t want to push her but I fucking will if I have to.

Turns out I don’t. She yelps as she is pulled backwards. She isn’t knocked over, just lifted and set back on her feet. I get up and glare at her. I’m shocked to see Pippa, I’d thought it was Blake.

“You can either leave quietly, or I’ll get security in here to throw you out entirely.”

“What? I was just talking to him.”

“I don’t think sexually assaulting someone is talking.”

“I didn’t do that,” she splutters.

“A guy walks up and grabs your crotch. What would you call that?” Pippa asks. She sounds so calm, but looks like she’s ready to launch this woman. “It works both ways. Keep arguing and I’ll encourage Mr Jameson to call the police and press charges.”

I go to speak, telling her she’s blowing it all out of proportion. Yes, she shouldn’t have touched me, but the police? Pippa arches a brow in my direction, silently asking what I want to do. I never would have labelled it as assault, but I guess she’s right. I subtly shake my head but then indicate towards the exit. Pippa hands the woman off to Ren, who takes her away from where we’re all sitting.

Turning back to Pippa, I give her a flat smile. “Thanks.”

“It’s what we’re here for. Are you okay?”

“Yeah, sure I’m fine.”

“We can take it further if you want,”

“No,” I hold up a hand. “Just thanks for seeing it and being there. I could have handled it.”

“I’m sure,” she nods. We stare at each other for a moment. She nods again and turns, but walks straight into Ciro.

He reaches his hands out to stop her from falling, but she catches herself and flinches away. He glares when he realises who it is, but neither of them says anything and Pippa walks away.

“What the hell is she doing here?” he asks, watching her.

“She works for our security. She was here doing security stuff,” I shrug.

Ciro side eyes me, his impenetrable gaze unwavering, but I’m not about to tell him what just happened. If Pippa hadn’t pulled her off, I could have handled it. We have to be more careful who we’re hanging out with or letting into our group. Ciro turns to where Pippa is now talking with Blake, a scowl on his face. Then he walks over to the bar like he wasn’t just talking to me.
