“Oh, I see. She must be fun.”

“I am just guessing at this point, but I think she will be,” he said as we both watched the ladies whisper to each other, still hugging.

“Really? You haven’t tapped that yet?” I asked. Lacy didn’t seem as nervous as Daisy had since we took off with them, and Eagle was a smooth talker.

“I’m not a fucking animal, man.”

With my arms crossed, I shot him a questioning look. “Since when does fucking make us animals?”

He leaned in closer. “Have you fucked her?” he asked as he motioned to the women.

“No. She’s been sleeping a lot.”

He huffed. “Right. Listen, I’m with ya, man. They were being held against their will and forced to whore themselves out. That’s not the same as the bunnies who freely offer pussy to any fucker that looks at ‘em.”

My jaw tightened. “Did she tell you all that?”

“She’s a talker. But she’s cute. It’ll happen soon enough but shit, man. They’ve been here a day.”

Honestly, I wasn’t too shocked. We had a lot of guys that enjoyed the club ass, and a lot who didn’t. My guess was they felt like I did and didn’t want the hassle. Plus, club business came before everything and most women said they could handle it, but we’d seen enough times that they couldn’t.

Shit. Would Daisy understand? For whatever reason, my mind was made up…she’s mine. But the club came first. There was no other way.

The women finished their private conversation and headed toward us. Lacy was also pretty, cleaned up without all the big hair and makeup, but she didn’t hold a candle to Daisy. I could look at Daisy all damn day.

“Lacy, this is Falcon. He’s our Road Captain,” Eagle said as he dropped his arm over her shoulder.

Lacy waved shyly. “Yeah, I guess we didn’t formally meet in all the commotion. I met some of the other guys last night but missed you and Daisy.”

Daisy’s face whipped in my direction. “Where were you?”

Shrugging, I answered, “Sleeping.” Her chest rose with a deep breath, but I steeled my face. “Anyway, I got appointments the next couple of days so we need to go to the store today. We’ll take the cage since you’re wearing flip flops.”

Both of their faces turned red, and they stiffened. Eagle gently shook Lacy and laughed. “He means a truck. Not a real cage.”

They both exhaled at the same time and Daisy crossed her arms. “I don’t have much money. Or anything.” She swallowed hard and hugged herself. I knew she had a little cash, but she probably wanted to hold onto what she could.

“I got it. Let’s go.”

Lacy chimed in. “I have even less than her.”

Eagle rubbed his hand over her shoulder. “I got you.”

Lacy’s face lit up, but Daisy still seemed pensive. I took a few steps to close the distance between us and put my hand at the small of her back, nudging her ahead. “After you.”

She shifted her shoulders but also thinned her lips. This would be fun.

Chapter 19

Daisy

My ankle wasn’t as tender as it was this morning, and it was nice to be out in public. We went to the mall and grabbed a few pairs of jeans, some tanks, t-shirts, and boots. Falcon also grabbed a pair of tennis shoes in my size when I went to find underwear and socks. I couldn’t keep wearing this sports bra and, in a pinch the loaner panties were fine, but I preferred to have my own.

The guys hung back while we shopped. I tried to grab just a few things, but Falcon kept grabbing stuff that wasn’t even my size and tossing it over his arm. I put them back but took the hint.

I was a little shocked when he passed up the silky lingerie for soft cotton sleep shorts and cute matching tank tops. He was also the one who led us through the short dresses into the jeans.

At first, I was having déjà vu because Tony had taken me shopping when he was still swindling me into thinking he loved me. The difference was that he went for the tiny dresses and racy sleepwear. At the time it made sense because I was a dancer, he owned a club, and it made me feel sexy. In hindsight, he was just gross.
