“I’m more than okay,” I responded. “I don’t think I’ve ever had an orgasm that intense in my life.”
“You’re welcome,” Noah boasted.
Zayn crawled into bed and pushed the covers over our naked bodies. He cuddled me from behind, spooning me while peppering the back of my neck and shoulders with sweet little kisses.
I had reached heaven.
As I lay in bed, I could feel the gentle pull of sleep tugging at my consciousness. The softness of the sheets and the warmth of their bodies made my eyelids grow heavier. The world around me began to fade away. But just before I dozed off, the image of Ander’s face unexpectedly surfaced in my mind. My chest tightened, and I wondered how wonderful life would be if he were also mine.
Chapter 33. LIKE YOU MEAN IT
(Ander)
After one long shower, two painkillers, and a gallon of water later, I started to feel like myself again. Last night, I drank way too much tequila, but there was nothing quite like playing some basketball to help sweat the alcohol out of your system. I grabbed a pair of shorts and a long-sleeved T-shirt and quickly dressed before heading toward Zayn’s room.
I knocked twice before calling out his name.
“Zayn, c’mon. Let’s go shoot some hoops.”
There was no answer. They’d probably stayed up until late drinking and watching the movie, so I imagined he was possibly knocked out cold. After waiting a few minutes, I decided to try the doorknob. It was unlocked.
When I opened the door, I froze. It felt like all the blood in my body rushed to my feet.
Noah, Zayn, and Sienna were underneath the bed covers, which only covered their legs. They were naked. Noah spooned Sienna, who lay across Zayn’s chest.
“What the fuck?!” The moment I yelled those words, Sienna woke up. When her eyes connected with mine, she gasped.
I was livid, and by the look on Sienna’s face, she could tell. I turned around and stomped to my bedroom without sparing another look at them.
They had fucked.
The three of them.
“Wait!”
I heard Sienna calling me, but I didn’t want to talk to her. I was enraged. I was furious with her for giving me hope that there was more to us than a friendship, at them for touching her in ways I wished I could, and at myself for falling for her once more.
“Ander, please. Wait.”
When I reached my door, I looked at her from the corner of my eye. She was trying to wrap herself in a blanket as she hurried down the hallway.
“I don’t want to talk to you. Go back to the room.”
“Please, let me explain.”
I walked inside my bedroom and pushed the door, but Sienna pushed it with her hand before I could close it. I gave up and walked toward the windows. I couldn’t look at her—not like this. I knew that if I opened my mouth, I would say things I would probably regret later, so I kept my lips shut.
“I’m sorry you had to see that. I never wanted you to see us like this. I was going to explain it to you today. I was going to tell you.”
“TELL ME WHAT?” I shouted while I spun around to face her. “That you’ve been fucking both of them behind my back? That you played me the other day?”
God.
She looked gorgeous just with that blanket on and her messed-up morning hair.
“That’s not fair. You know that’s not true. You’re saying that just to hurt me.”
I closed the distance between us and dropped my head until my eyes were leveled with hers.
