“Did he tell you about Friday?”
“Ahh, no.”
She shook her head.
“Men,” she said. “We have another club coming around. It’s been a tentative alliance, but everyone is getting sick of the Spawns.”
That didn’t surprise me, and my mind went back to Kieran. I really wanted him out before the shit hit the fan. From what I had gleaned from Angel, it wasn’t if it would happen.
It was when.
Chapter 11
Reaper
We had decided to lay everything out to the brothers. It didn’t matter if we had a mole or not. Nothing would stop us from forging our own destiny. I glanced down at my notebook.
“You all know what’s happened over the last three weeks. We had to hold some information back, but it no longer matters now,” I said, glancing around at all the faces. I couldn’t lie. It made me sick that one of our own would stab us in the back.
“Someone in this room gave our shipment details to the Spawns,” I said grimly, and I saw some jaws drop before everyone began to look around at one another.
I knew Dad, Scar, Widower and Animal have been watching everyone.
“As you know, The Wolves are coming on Friday, and I will speak to their President about a solid alliance. Clubs have always had a bad rep here. It’s time for a change. If anyone has any problems with our core values, now is the time to speak up because we are not a bunch of fucking degenerates,” I said with anger seeping into my voice.
I felt pride when their backs straightened, and there were nods and murmurs of agreement.
“We will be removing the current Spawns key members this is going to be done with precision and in stages to ensure we don’t end up with the pigs on our backs or a large-scale retaliatory attack on us. The information may come last minute due to the traitor amongst us. Are there any votes against anything I have laid out today?”
My lips tightened when I saw a few wavering expressions, but no one protested.
“When we find the traitor or traitors. Let me assure you there won’t be anything left for a burial,” I said. “I won’t be taking any questions in today's meeting because I want you guys to take it in. We can cover them in the next meeting.”
Once everyone left I sat down looking at the remaining trusted members. It was up to us to take Demon out and get Kieran out of there. I could feel the tension and excitement in the room. Only we knew about the hidden arsenal we spent years stockpiling. They knew about all the businesses Dad and I held. We hid many of them to protect them from attacks. The shipment they took from the port was minor, but it had been perfect timing and the excuse we needed to end them. By taking Kat, we had expected them to attack. Since they hadn’t, we needed to take the fight to them.
“Here’s how it goes down…”

When I reached an empty kitchen, I called my mum to see where they were. There was no way they could have left the compound.
“Oh, Rory. I’m so proud of you. At this rate, I will be a granny before the end of the year,” she said, and then I heard some whispering and giggling.
I turned my volume up she didn’t sound like her usual self.
I groaned when I realised she sounded pissed.
“Mum? Have you been drinking?”
“No. Of course not,” she said indignantly before a snort of laughter burst out of her. “Where’s the mute button?” She whispered loudly.
“Mum, I’m coming over and will show you where the mute button is,” I said with a smile. I wanted to see a drunk Kat. Glancing at the clock, she was due her next load.
This could be fun.
???
I balanced Kat by holding her waist with one arm and the bags my Mum had given her.
