“Oh my God.” He covered his mouth. “For real?” He looked at her. “You’re all right with this?”
Skylar had already talked about this with Maddy. Since she could technically only marry one person, he wanted to marry Jace. She had kissed him and told him it was a wonderful idea. In her heart, she knew that no matter who she was legally married to, they would be her husbands, and whether Skylar and Jace were legally married wouldn’t change that.
“Why wouldn’t I be? I love you both, and you love each other. You belong together.” She held up her left hand, showing them the ring on her finger. “And I’m not going anywhere.”
Jace turned back to Skylar. “Yes!”
Skylar got up, put the ring on Jace’s finger, then gave Jace a kiss that left even Maddy blushing.
“Since everyone is making announcements, I have another one!” Maddy yelled over the cheers. “I was going to wait until later, but since you’re here… I’m pregnant again!”
Jace grabbed Skylar’s arm for support.
“I knew it!” Ryder jumped up and down.
Cody excitedly laughed.
E.J. wiggled free of Kelly’s arms and toddled up to Maddy to pat her stomach. “Mommy, baby.”
Maddy bent and picked E.J. up. “Yes, E.J., you’re going to have another brother or sister.”
“Brafer!” he demanded, then sucked his thumb.
“Okay, with that out of the way, let’s open my store!” Maddy turned toward her bakery. “Allison, open the doors!”
EPILOGUE
Seven Months Later
Shortly after their engagement, Cody had proposed that they buy a house in Florida. They loved it and drove down often to watch Lucca’s games, so it made sense to own a place to stay.
The month after they agreed, a house only two doors down from Lucca and Torr’s place went up for sale.
It was the one Maddy always stopped to stare at whenever they walked down the beach. Windows covered the side that faced the beach, and there was a beautiful deck with a hot tub.
Lucca obviously had something to do with getting the owners to sell, but she couldn’t be upset by it.
She loved the house.
As soon as they moved in, they started planning their beach wedding. Maddy wanted to get married before the baby came. Well, babies came. Her first ultrasound revealed that she was having twins.
The months passed quickly, and the day had arrived before Maddy knew it.
She and Torr were upstairs at the new place down in Florida, getting ready for her wedding.
She was the size of a house, and she’d been having cramps in her back for the last week.
The guys had tried to talk her into postponing the wedding, but she put her foot down. She wanted to be married before giving birth this time around.
Torr was helping her get dressed, maneuvering around Maddy’s enormous belly. Not that she was much better. She was four-months pregnant with their third baby. She told Maddy she was glad this time it was just one.
Maddy wasn’t sure how to feel about that.
They had just finished Maddy’s hair, and it was time to put on her dress.
Maddy stood up from the chair and felt of rush of warmth down her legs. “Uh-oh.”
Torr’s eyes widened. “Maddy, is that…?”
