We were supposed to be each other’s first. At least, me and the girl behind the screen were. We had talked about learning together, but then I fucked it all up—not that I would have had sex with a sixteen-year-old.
But she’s definitely not sixteen anymore.
“Will you say something?”
Sienna’s face comes back into focus, her eyebrows tipped up in question and worry. It’s not that I have a problem with her being a virgin, but the admission splashed me with a dose of reality, making me realize what we were about to do.
“I feel like that gift is not meant for me.”
Her expression falls but then turns determined. “I think it’s up to me to decide who I give my body to.”
When I don’t say anything, she lifts her head, pressing her delicious mouth to mine, and uses her hands to press my groin into her. For a moment, I’m sucked back in, letting my physical desires take over. I grind into her, swallowing the throaty sounds coming from her mouth while my skin burns hotter.
Shit.
I slide my hand down between us so I can squeeze one of her breasts and then the other, finally finding out how it feels to touch them.
Sienna wraps her legs around me, holding me closer, neither of us coming up for air. I’m about to rip her top off so I can feel more of her skin, but the incessant blaring at the back of my mind telling me to stop wins out. Mustering every single bit of willpower left in my body, I pull my hands and lips away from her, shaking my head.
She opens her eyes, a look of rejection filling her features. “Why?”
“It’s not that I don’t want you,” I tell her softly, looking into her confused but dilated eyes. “But I don’t take sex lightly, not anymore. We don’t need to rush it.”
Chewing on her bottom lip, she drops her legs from around my waist and pulls her eyes away from me for a moment. “I know it’s been a shorter amount of time for you, but I feel like I’ve been waiting ten years for this. I know what I want, and I want you.” She lifts a hand to stroke my cheeks, and my chest floods with warmth, her words embracing my soul in a hug. “I can wait longer until you’re ready.”
She’s saying all the right things, and yet there is still a little voice whispering to me that she doesn’t really want this and that she’ll end up leaving. It’s the same one that had me trying to back off today.
“I have a son with someone else.”
Her face sobers at my words. “I’m aware.”
“If you don’t think you can handle that, and you think you might lea–”
“Neilix,” she cuts in with a finger pressed to my lips. “I’m not planning on going anywhere.”
I look into her blue eyes and see nothing but truth there, and it makes the voice quiet down. “Okay.”
“Okay,” she repeats.
Leaning down, I take her mouth again, softer this time, slower. The gentle promise of more lingers, just not right row.
With a final peck to her lips, I pull back. “Do you want to try to watch the rest of the movie?”
I thought she might be disappointed or upset that I put an end to things going further tonight, but I see neither of those things as she stares up at me and gives a small smile. “I do. But what time is it?”
I tear my body off hers, adjusting myself as I go, then help her sit up. It suddenly occurs to me that she doesn’t live in the city and will have to drive home.
“Were you planning on driving back to Plainfield tonight?” I check my watch and see that it’s around nine o’clock. It’s not super late, but it will take her around an hour to get home, and if we watch the rest of the movie, it will be even later.
She straightens out her top, and I can’t help but watch the movements before pulling my eyes back to her face. “Yeah. I have to work in the morning.”
My lips thin, and my brows scrunch together. “I don’t like the idea of you driving that far late at night.”
Sienna’s lips pull up at the sides. “I’ll be fine. I’ve done it before.”
“Maybe you should just stay here.”
Shaking her head, she gets to her feet and stands in front of me, resting her hands on my chest. “I don’t have any of my things. It’s okay. I’ll just leave now and let you know when I get home, if you’re still awake.”
