“You’re lucky,” I point out, sipping my drink. “Most people go their whole lives without finding friends like youhave.”

He nods, looking thoughtful. “We’ve sacrificed too, you know. None of us have a family. We chose tight friendship and work overfamilies.”

“Do you want a family?” I askhim.

“I do,” he admits. “I think we all do now. We all wish we hadkids.”

“I want kids too,” I say, looking away from him. “Alwaysdid.”

We’re silent for a moment, thinking about this. I don’t now how we could possibly have a serious relationship with all five guys together and me. I mean, I want children, so how would that work? I have five kids, one for eachguy?

“Come on,” Jordan says finally. “Let me take youhome.”

“Okay.” I finish my drink and we head back out, leaving the club. The spell was broken then, but I don’t mind it. The city is beautiful at night, and I love being around Jordan. Really, I love being around any of my guys. I don’t want this to end, no matterwhat.

But he brought up a good point. I don’t know what this future can possibly look like. We’re unconventional, to put it mildly. Being shared by five guys seems crazy even if it’s just for sex. But trying to build a real relationship and even a family around five guys and one women… that seemsimpossible.

I don’t know how we’ll do it. I don’t know if they even want to do it. But all I know right now is that I don’t want to stop this, whatever itis.

We sitaround the conference table, each of us leaning back in our seats. It’s after hours on a Saturday, so the office is empty, except for the five ofus.

The guys look serious. We’ve been talking for a couple hours now, going around and around in circles, trying to get to this point. I’m exhausted, and I can tell the other guys are just astired.

But we madeprogress.

“So, we’re in agreement?” Iask.

Chris nods. “I thinkso.”

“Let’s call her in,” Huntersays.

“Don’t be too eager,” Icaution.

Ethan stretches. “I agree with Hunter. I want to get this overwith.”

I grunt a bit at that. “This isn’t a bad thing,man.”

“I know it isn’t.” Ethan frowns a bit. He was the most vocal against this. “It’s just… making this formal. I don’tknow.”

“I get it.” Ethan doesn’t like commitment. He never has. Anything formal makes him uncomfortable, which is why he went into a more artistic-leaning profession. But in this case, he finally relented, because this is something all of uswant.

“I just texted her,” Jordan says. “She’ll be heresoon.”

Chris takes a deep breath. “We’re really doingthis.”

“We really are,” Isay.

“It’s about time,” Hunter adds, standing. He walks to the door and leaves without saying anythingelse.

I watch the other guys, their expressions, their movements. Everyone is nervous, but mostly we’re all excited. This was a difficult conversation, a little uncomfortable but it wasnecessary.

Tori was at the heart of it, of course. She’s at the heart of everything we do lately. I don’t think we can deny it. She’s the reason for everything that goes on in our little group, and none of us feel like that’s changing anytimesoon.

So we had to talk about it. We couldn’t keep just ignoring the fact that all five of us are sharing this girl, and we’re all clearly infatuated with her. If we want to keep this thing going, we need to have some rules, to understand what it is we’re actuallydoing.
