Finn
If I died with my face buried between my wife’s thighs, I’d go out the happiest man on the planet. And whoever is calling me as she comes down from her orgasm might just lose their life by my hands.
Placing a kiss on the inside of Alessia’s silky thigh, I groan as I raise myself from the bed and grab my phone, seeing Luca’s name on the screen.
“Yeah?” I say irritably into the phone.
“Hey. We need to talk about my leaving. And by talk, I mean I’m leaving with Giada. Today.”
“Slow down, cousin. We talked about this.”
I stand from the bed and walk into the bathroom, turning on the shower.
“Listen, Finn. We’ve been doing it your way, and I understand, but Carlo hasn’t been here in months. Giada got word that she needed to pack her things and be ready for some Russian to pick her up later today. He was going to ship her off to marry a man who would do God knows what to her. I can’t let it happen.”
I was worried something like this would happen with Luca at the house guarding the younger Cataldi. I saw it in his eyes when he met me at the fights over a month ago. Looks like my cousin may have caught feelings for the little princess.
“I’m done fighting in the shadows, Finn. And I’m not going to stand back while he hurts an innocent. I’m getting out, and Giada is coming with me.”
“Fuck, okay. Just don’t do anything rash. I’ll set up a place for you to hide out and—”
“Too late.”
“What do you mean too late?”
“Well, she can’t exactly marry the pakhan’s son if she’s already married.”
“Luca…”
“I married her, Finn.”
Well…shit.
“Where are you?”
“New Hampshire. Manchester City Hall, to be exact.”
“Goddammit. You need to get off the street. Go to my penthouse and I’ll meet you there. I’ll call the guards so they know to let you in.”
“Okay. Sorry, Finn. I just couldn’t—”
“I know you couldn’t.”
I would have done everything in my power to keep the woman I love safe, even before I admitted to myself that I loved her. Shit, I did even more for Alessia than Luca is doing for Giada before I admitted my feelings for her.
“I’ll see you in a few.”
I hang up the phone and walk back into the bedroom, my wife still lying naked on the silk sheets.
It’s been two weeks since Orlando went to ground, and we came back to the house. Of course, I added a shit ton of extra security features and more guards to patrol the grounds, but as soon as it was all in place, Alessia wanted to come back. She likes the penthouse well enough, but this is our home, and she wasn’t going to let those fuckers take that from her. Her words, not mine.
“What’s going on?” she asks.
“Luca is done being a mole for me, I guess.” After Orlando was put to ground, I explained the situation to Alessia about who Luca is and what we’ve been doing the last seven years. “Oh, and he went and got himself a little wife on his way out.”
Alessia’s eyes widen. “Don’t tell me…”
“Giada Cataldi,” I confirm.
