“Well, come on. Let me give you a tour.”
“And then we can go for a drive and I’ll give you those orgasms so you can take a quick nap.” He winks, and my core clenches.
“I need more than just a nap, Vinny, and I have class in a few hours.”
“So, no orgasms?” He pouts.
“Not today.” I lift up on my toes and kiss his cheek, then whisper in his ear, “But you know I love teasing you. When I see you tomorrow, I want you to get me naked and have your mouth on my pussy before you even say hi.”
Vinny groans, pulling me tight against him. “That can be arranged. But we better get inside before I make good on that right here.” He winks, tucking me under his arm.
Chapter 34
Vinny
3 months later...
Placing a fresh glass of champagne down on the table, I grip the back of Lexi’s chair and lean in to kiss her cheek. “Dance with me, dolcezza,” I whisper in her ear, and she smiles, taking a sip of champagne.
Gathering the bottom of her dress, she stands, and I take her hand. I walk us out onto the dance floor and pull her close, the slow song a perfect excuse to hold Lexi close in a room full of people.
Leo and Abri’s wedding is one for the fucking books, and I’ve been dying to get my arms around my girl and feel the silk that’s clinging to her curves for myself.
“Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight?”
“You have.” She grins, her cheeks turning that pretty pink I love and her eyes shining with love. Of course, she’s had a few drinks, so it could be that, but I’m going with love.
“Have I told you how handsome you look tonight?
“No, you haven’t” I wink.
“You know I love you in your suits, but a tux?” She bites her lip. “Very sexy.”
With my hands on her lower back, I rub my thumbs against her bare skin. “It’s good to know what you’ll be thinking when it’s our wedding day and you’re walking down the aisle towards me. That your soon-to-be husband is sexy as hell.”
“What?” she breathes, her eyes wide and brilliantly blue.
Smiling at her look of surprise and confusion, I walk us off the dance floor and around the band to a set of French doors that lead to a balcony that overlooks the front of the property. The doors are hidden behind the curtain backdrop of the band, so no one else is out here to ruin this moment.
I walk her to the end and take her left hand, kissing the empty spot on her ring finger where a diamond will soon be sitting. “I said you were my wife the first night we met, so this is just one step closer to making it official.”
Pulling the ring box from my pocket, I get down on one knee and Lexi’s eyes water. “Vinny.”
“Alexis Manzato, I love you. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, and I want you by my side for the rest of my life. I want to be yours, and I want you to be mine forever. Will you marry me?”
“Vincenzo Carfano,” she whispers, smiling down at me despite tears falling from her watery eyes. “I love you so damn much.” She cups my cheek. “You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me too, and nothing would make me happier than being your wife. Of course I’ll marry you.”
I open the ring box and her eyes widen at the gold band with a four-carat diamond sitting inside a simple setting.
“It’s so big.”
“That’s something I’ll never get tired of hearing.” I wink, slipping the ring onto her finger. And the moment I do, the possessive asshole in me rears his ugly head.
Seeing my ring on her finger that tells the rest of the world she’s mine, has my chest puffing with pride and my cock in need of staking his claim.
Lexi takes my face in her hands and bends down to kiss me. I wrap my arms around her and stand, keeping her crushed against me.
“Do you think anyone would notice if we snuck away for fifteen minutes? Twenty minutes? A half hour?”
