“I have to keep you sustained so we can go another few rounds.” His deep voice fills my every sense, and rounding the couch, he brushes my bare shoulder and whispers in my ear, “Are you sore, bella? Do you still feel me inside of you?” His warm breath blows against my sensitive flesh, goosebumps breaking out where it does.
Oh…
Pressing my thighs together, I bite my lip, nodding yes. And yet despite the intense soreness I feel, I know I wouldn’t be able to deny him if he were to say he needed me right this moment. My body comes alive around him without any prompt. It’s just him.
“Enjoy your food,” he rasps, scraping his teeth across my neck and then disappearing.
Releasing the breath I didn’t know I was holding, I toss my braid over my shoulder and take a deep breath to calm myself down.
Alec is going to destroy me. I already know it.
My body, my heart, my soul…all of it.
I feel like I’m going to have a heart attack every time he’s near because my heart starts beating wildly to a rhythm all its own. My body feels like it’s on fire whenever he touches me and is inside of me. And my soul, my very spirit and essence, is starting to tie itself to his with every look, touch, and kiss we share. He wrecks me in the most delicious of ways.
He’s too much.
With a shaky hand, I reach for the silverware and unroll it from the napkin. I need the TV to distract myself, so I put on the first movie I find and sit back on the couch.
I don’t know how long I sit here after finishing my food, but when I lay down to finish watching the movie, my eyes close on their own.
When I wake again to the bright sun streaming through the windows, my head is resting on Alec’s lap, and he’s mindlessly combing his fingers through my hair.
I turn to look up at him. “What time is it?”
“After ten.”
“Did you get any sleep?”
“No,” he says, running his fingers through my hair and then skirting them down my back to swirl them in the sliver of exposed skin before the waistband of my pants.
“My sister is coming today.”
“What?” I ask in a panic, sitting up in a flash. “When? Should I go?”
“No,” he says firmly, his brows clashing together. “She’s coming to make sure her birthday party has everything she wants. Plus, she wants to meet you. Apparently, Vinny likes to run his mouth to my siblings.” Alec shakes his head, rubbing his jaw.
“Oh…um…”
“Don’t worry about a thing, bella. She’ll be nice. Just go get ready and I’ll have coffee and food sent up.”
Nodding, I go off to take a shower and dry my hair straight before applying a light layer of makeup. Deciding what to wear is more of a challenge considering my choices are all his sister’s.
I go with a pair of dark rinse skinny jeans that have the lowest price tag hanging from it, and a pretty, semi-sheer mint green blouse. Tucking it into the jeans, I add a brown belt with a gold H buckle to tie it all together before slipping into a pair of strappy flat brown leather sandals.
With one final look in the mirror, I decide I look as good as I’ll ever be in someone else’s clothes. I’ve never had to worry about making a good impression on someone’s family before, and I have to wipe my clammy palms down the sides of my thighs as I head back into the living room.
Alec turns around when he hears me approaching, and his eyes eat me alive from head toe, letting me know he approves.
“Do I look okay? These are her clothes. I don’t want her to think I’m some thief stealing her things. You brought me here yesterday right from work.”
“Bella,” he starts, the Italian sentiment rolling off his tongue in such a way that lulls me into a relaxed state. “Never doubt your beauty,” he says fiercely. “And my sister won’t say a thing. Don’t worry about her.”
Checking his phone, Alec grabs my waist and gives me a hard kiss that has me gripping the back of the couch to steady myself when he leaves me to open the door.
“Hey, Alec,” a young woman’s voice greets warmly, wrapping her arms around him. He returns it, and I’m genuinely shocked for some reason. I know she’s his sister, but he didn’t strike me as a man who hugs many people, so I’m assuming he saves it just for her. “Where is she?” I hear her ask, and I stand with my back ramrod straight, wringing my hands in front of me.
Alec steps aside, and I’m greeting by the smiling face of the most stunningly beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. Her long brown and caramel highlighted hair is curled in loose waves that bounce as she approaches me. Her skin is flawless and done up with makeup that I know she doesn’t need in the least to be beautiful.
