“Can I get you something to drink? Maybe some champagne to ease the nerves?” Armand’s voice startled her, sneaking up behind her while she was busy admiring the surroundings.
“Am I that obvious Armand?”
“No, I am just incredibly perceptive.” He smiled warmly at her again. “How about that drink then?”
“Thank-you, some champagne would be nice.”
Armand brought over two glasses of champagne and took the seat beside her. The pilot began making the announcements regarding take off and Nadia still hadn’t seen any sign of Ryan.
“I can’t help but feel like we’re leaving a critical piece of this puzzle behind,” Nadia laughed nervously and continued, “we’re not actually going to leave without Ryan, are we?”
“Oh no, of course not. He’s already on board.” Armand buckled his lap belt and gestured for her to do the same.
Well, if he was on board, then where the hell was he? Nadia glanced back toward the closed off area of the plane. What was he doing back there?
After half an hour of exchanging pleasantries with Armand, waiting for Ryan to emerge, Nadia was seething. How could he be so unbelievably rude? He practically begged her to join him on this trip, yet he couldn’t even bother to show his face when she arrived. Nadia clenched her teeth in frustration.
“Another glass of champagne?” Armand offered.
“No, thank-you,” Nadia replied, her frustration evident. “Do you know if Ryan intends to grace us with his presence during this flight?”
“I’m sorry, Miss Moore. I’m not privy to his plans. But I’m sure whatever he’s attending to must be quite urgent.” Armand gestured with the champagne bottle. “Are you sure you won’t have another drink?”
“Actually, that sounds like a good idea, yes please.” Maybe she would finish off the bottle.
After another twenty minutes, Nadia finished her fourth glass of champagne and stood up, her determination clear. She marched over to the divider separating the sections of the plane.
“Please, Miss Moore, Ryan asked not to be disturbed. He’ll be out soon, I’m sure of it,” Armand said, unbuckling himself and standing up. “If you could just sit down.”
“I’d rather not.” Nadia ignored his protests, flipping open the latch and pulling open the door. She quickly shut it afterward, blocking out Armand’s objections.
The shutters were drawn closed, and the room was dimly lit by a small lamp in the corner. It took a moment for Nadia’s eyes to adjust to the low light. As her vision sharpened, she could discern a desk in the corner and a large bed in the center of the room. Ryan’s silhouette sat on the bed, facing away from her.
“You’ve got some nerve, Ryan,” Nadia confronted him, fueled by the four glasses of champagne. “I understand you’re hurting, and things are uncertain, but you can’t just leave me out there wondering what’s going on.”
When Ryan remained silent, Nadia’s frustration mounted. “You asked me to come, and here I am. If I had known you were going to be so rude, I wouldn’t have bothered. I might as well hop on the first flight back to Miami as soon as we arrive.”
Ryan stood up silently and turned toward her. In the dim light, Nadia could just make out his tear-streaked face. He had been crying, and here she was, giving him hell. She realized she might have hidden away too if she were in his shoes.
“Ryan I-”
He crossed the room in two strides and smothered her mouth with his, drowning out her apology. He pressed himself against her desperately, his tongue pushing her lips aside to claim its place.
At once captivated and melting into him, her anger and frustration simmered away in the heat of their passion. He needed her body to comfort him in this moment, and she would give him all that he asked for. She breathed in the scent of his skin and rolled her hips toward him wantonly, every cell in her body aching for his touch.
Slipping the loose bohemian top off her, Ryan cupped her supple breast. Tingling sensations radiated to all the right places, igniting her already amplified senses. Nadia wouldn’t wait for it this time. She needed to heal him from her hurtful words. She needed to feel him inside of her, filling her, and she needed to hear him groan out for her.
She shoved him down onto the bed and unzipped his fly, taking him out in one smooth motion. She had almost forgotten how impressive he was, rock-hard and beautiful. Climbing into his lap, she pulled her skirt up over her hips, and his hands instinctively flew to her waist. She gasped in ecstasy as the width of him pressed into her slickness, arching her back in response to him and digging her nails into his neck. Her whole body hummed with the anticipation of taking him inside of her.
“Nadia...” Ryan slurred out her name in a cautionary tone. She slammed herself down, taking all of him.
Nadia winced in pleasure and pain at the depths he hit and began rocking herself back and forth, feeling his tortuous length grind against her sweet spot. Clutching her rib cage, Ryan pulled her up and down, matching her rhythm. He sucked the tip of her swaying breast into his mouth, biting down on the nipple as Nadia increased the tempo. His grip tightened, and he slammed into her with reckless abandon. Her hurt feelings dissipated with each exacting thrust until they were like dust in the wind.
Nadia opened her eyes, her gaze falling on his face beneath her. Even with his features twisted in passion and his eyes rolled back in ecstasy, he was gorgeous. As she gently brushed a strand of hair off his furrowed brow, his eyes snapped open, their intense gaze piercing into her soul once more. With their eyes locked together, and Ryan pounding into her mercilessly, she could feel her sex swelling and throbbing, leading up to the deep convulsive release building inside of her.
She tried to control herself, tried to make the moment last, but her breath wouldn’t slow. It came in shivering gasps as she rode the wave ever closer to completion. Ryan’s ragged breath was hot against her breast as he pulled her towards him commandingly. Even from below he was dominating. He directed her every move, holding tight to her hips as he abandoned all control and drove himself into her. He was a perfect fit, his girth and length filled her with exquisite precision, and drove away any memory of making love to anyone else. He had carved her into his matching puzzle piece, and Nadia knew no one else could ever fit her again.
They bucked against each other, colliding in a perfect synchronous rhythm as they both gave way to the surge pushing them over the edge. Nadia clenched around him in shuddering spasms as she felt the ripples of pleasure flooding through him. They clung to each other shivering and convulsing in their shared pleasure. At last, their mouths met for a final kiss, before simultaneously collapsing onto the bed.
