I rest my hands against the cold wall as I lift my foot and start to stomp on his chest.

Screams are leaving me, words are leaving me but none of them make any sense, all I can hear and see is him beating her, talking down to her, calling her a slut.

“You should have walked away, Chad,” I scream at him as I continue to kick him in the ribs and stomach.

My heart is racing as I stop and take in a deep breath, I slowly kneel in front of him his face is bloody, he is holding tightly onto his stomach, and the bruises are already forming across his entire face.

“Tell me where she is,” I whisper.

Chad looks at me, his eyes wide, his breathing unsteady. He thought he was going to win this little game, but he isn't; he was never going to win.

“She is at the library,” He whispers.

I slowly stand up and look down at him. I raise my fist and punch him as hard as I can in the face, his head goes to the side, his body goes limp his breathing closes down.

Lil.

I quickly turn and head back the way I just came, please God let her be alive, please don't take her from me, if you need someone to take please fucking take me.

I get off my bike and take the stairs leading up to the library two at a time, I push open the front doors and run inside, I know what part she studies in, I just fucking hope and pray that he didn’t move her.

I continue to run through the library, I can feel people’s eyes on me, but I don't fucking care.

I stop when I see her body on the ground next to the table. There is blood everywhere.

My heart stops as I fall to my knees beside her and take her face into my hands forcing her to look at me, her breathing is slowed, her eyes are closed, and her entire face is bloody and bruised.

“Darlin, please open your eyes,” I beg her.

“Jax?” She whispers through the pain.

“I’m here; I’m right fucking here,” I say, trying to reassure her.

She opens her eyes and looks at me. Tears escape her eyes as she tries to take a deep breath.

I pull out my phone and dial 911, I place the phone on the floor and take her into my arms, she rests her head against my chest as I grab my phone and stand, her body is shaky.

“Please send someone to the library. My girlfriend has been attacked,” I say rapidly.

Tears escape my eyes and roll down my face as I rest my face against the side of her face, “I love you, Liliana, please hold on, please don't fucking leave me.”

She doesn’t respond as I make my way through the library and out the front doors.

I can already hear the cops coming, and I just hope they get here on time.

My cell door opens, and I slowly stand up. The guard comes into view, motioning for me to come out.

I can hear the inmates screaming and cussing.

I will never get used to the cries or screams of this place.
