“He’s a lion shifter,” Kellen said as he grazed his lips across Atlas’s collarbone, adding tiny licks along the way.

“Shut the front door!” Atlas would have never guessed. Dr. Baldwin was a nice-looking guy and seemed so normal. Not once had he growled or shown any signs he wasn’t human.

Kellen nipped Atlas’s Adam’s apple. “Remember when the doctor followed me out of the room when he and a nurse came in?”

Atlas nodded.

“Since she was human, I didn’t want to tell Dr. Baldwin that you were my mate in front of her,” he said. “I gave the doctor the signal to talk to me in the hall.”

That explained why Dr. Baldwin had acted so differently when he’d come back into the room. He’d been kind and attentive, but Atlas suspected he was that way toward any of his patients. He just had a kindhearted way about him that wasn’t easily faked.

Kellen chuckled against Atlas’s skin. “Let me know when you’re ready to find out who else isn’t human, and we’ll gossip like little school girls. I’ll even braid our hair.”

“As long as I can paint your toenails.” Atlas arched his back, moaning as his skin tingled with need. Kellen’s lips trailed down his neck, while his hands traced over Atlas’s sides and stomach. His body trembled at Kellen’s touch.

“I told you already that you can do whatever you want to my body.” Kellen nipped his skin. “You’re the only person I’ve ever given that liberty to.”

Atlas pressed his hands against Kellen’s chest and gave a soft shove, careful of his splinted wrist.

Raising his head, Kellen frowned. “Not in the mood?” He leaned back onto his knees. “Babe, I know I’m a horndog, but you can tell me to fuck off if you’re not into it.”

Atlas grunted as he tried to get up. Kellen reached down and helped him to his feet.

“Do you want to watch a movie instead?”

“I’m taking my liberties, as long as you keep in mind I’m down to one hand.” Atlas pointed at the bed. “Get naked and get on there.”

Kellen smirked as he stood and yanked his shirt over his head. “Do I even want to know what you’re about to do to me?”

Licking his lips, Atlas smirked. “You’ll find out.” He rolled his eyes when he reached for his own shirt. “I’m going to need help getting out of my clothes. When did my lion doctor say I would be healed? He just told me to take it easy until my hand felt better.”

Laughter erupted from Kellen. “Lion doctor. That’s about as funny as you calling me a wolf man,” he said. “You’ll heal faster since we’re bonded. Though I can’t say how long it will take, your wrist should be feeling better already.”

“It doesn’t feel as bad as when I hurt it, but it still aches.”

Kellen took Atlas’s chin in a gentle hold and tilted his head back. “The bruises on your neck are almost gone. They’ve faded even more since the hospital visit.”

Thank goodness Atlas wouldn’t have to wear a turtleneck to Jennifer’s summer wedding. There was no way he would be able to explain why he was wearing one. “And you still have your clothes on.”

A low, primal growl ripped from Kellen’s throat. Atlas loved watching his mate’s muscles flex whenever he moved. He ran his hands over Kellen’s broad shoulders and down his back, feeling the sculpted body ripple beneath his fingertips.

Taking a step back, Kellen removed his shoes, tossed them aside, then shoved his pants down. How had Atlas forgotten that his mate hadn’t put any underwear on before they’d gone to the hospital? His thick cock jutted out, distracting Atlas. He blinked several times trying to remember…anything.

Kellen sat on the bed, yanking his pants the rest of the way off before he removed his socks. When he got up, he walked straight for Atlas, a predatory gaze in his eyes.

“Stop looking like you’re about to consume me.”

“Every last inch of you.” Kellen ran his fingers along the hem of Atlas’s shirt, causing goose bumps to erupt as his hands slid up Atlas’s sides. He shivered as Kellen’s fingers brushed against his bare skin, leaving a trail of fire in their wake.

There was just something so erotic about someone else taking his clothes off. His mate lowered to his knees, and Atlas’s breath caught as Kellen slipped his strong hands inside Atlas’s waistband, his fingers drifting downward. Atlas stepped out of his underwear and pants, his breathing shallow as his mate looked up at him.

“You’re so damn gorgeous,” Kellen murmured, his voice low and rough. “I couldn’t rip my gaze away from you the night I saw you in the bar. I’ve never wanted anyone as much as I wanted you, and now you’re all mine.”

Atlas blushed at the compliment, but before he could respond, Kellen was on him. His mate’s lips circled around Atlas’s cock and engulfed him. Oh. My. God. Atlas’s head fell back as his fingers gripped the guy’s hair. The pressure built in Atlas’s lower half as Kellen sank deeper on him, his throat contracting on every slow withdrawal.

Kellen hadn’t been the only one who’d felt that way the night they’d met. Atlas didn’t do hookups, no matter how intense his attraction toward Kellen was. But he’d given in, and Atlas was glad he had. The guy had come to mean so much to him in such a short period of time.

Bonus, Atlas was able to have Kellen body for more than a single night.
