“What?” she gasps. “Is that why you’re so passionate about helping omegas?”

“It is,” I say. Slowly, the entire story comes rolling out, and Aisling holds my hand with wide eyes, brushing away tears here and there. I also tell her about last night with a few amendments, and how I killed Trey.

“Fuck yes!” she cheers just as the guys walk through the door.

“Weird way to say hello, but okay,” Everest calls out as he and Shaw pop their heads into the room.

Aisling wrinkles her nose at him, brushing away the last of her tears.

“I hope you know how incredible your omega is,” she says. “This girl is going to change the fucking world.”

“We know,” Shaw says with a small grin, winking at me. “We’re going to unload the SUV and grab Flynn and Amb to help us. Need anything?”

“No, I think we’re good,” I tell him with a smile.

Shaw still walks into the kitchen, bringing us a pitcher of water, glasses, and a platter of cheese and crackers.

“Now you’re better,” he says, kissing my forehead before he jogs out of the room. “We’ll check in later. Flynn! Amb! Get your asses down here.”

“Bossy, but sweet,” Aisling says with a smirk as she pours herself some water. “Now that we’ve gotten the hard stuff out of the way, let’s get to planning.”

Pulling out a notebook, she takes in my raised brow with a shrug.

“You should know how to use technology, but paper and pen work just fine,” she teases me.

The rest of the afternoon is spent discussing every need an omega may have in our society, and how we can help. It’s not going to be an easy job, but we have all the time in the world to accomplish it.

If even one omega is able to have a better chance at navigating life than Aisling and I did, then it’ll be worth it.

EVEREST

Shaw and I found a ready to assemble she-shed kit at the hardware store, and then bought all the lumber to make the add-ons the girls asked for. It took three days to get it together, paint, construct the built-in bookcases, and put in the lighting and chandelier.

The chandelier was Flynn’s suggestion, and looking around the shed, I have to admit it was perfect.

“The girls are going to freak out,” Flynn murmurs as he stands there with me.

“I can’t believe it was so easy to put together,” Shaw says with a chuckle. “Four people working on it definitely made a difference though.”

Ambrose has a quiet grin as he surveys the area, just taking in the beauty, and probably imagining the squeals of excitement.

We constructed the she-shed toward the back of the garden we’re setting up, so they’d have a view of the smaller lake back there from the windows that face it. There’s also a porch for them to work outside while the weather is nice, heating for when it’s too fucking cold to live, and we painted the inside of the building in navy and teal.

The outside of the building is a slate gray with white window trimmings, and I have to admit that we outdid ourselves.

“Aisling is at the house now, right?” I ask as I look around to make sure it’s perfect. Flynn helped us order the right color pillows, curtains, and blankets, and they each have their own desk and chairs. I found these cool desk chairs where they’re wide enough for you to sit with your legs crossed.

Damn, they really are going to freak out when they see their three room she-shed.

“We may have gone overboard, just a little,” Shaw admits, blushing. Damn, it’s really cute. He rarely gets embarrassed like this.

Throwing my arm around his shoulders, I squeeze them as I glance over my head at the glittering white and gold chandelier and then over at the built in shelving for their books. There’s also a little pantry for their snacks, so they won’t have to come inside unless they want to.

“There’s nothing wrong with spoiling our omega and her new business partner,” I tell him with a shrug. “Just be ready for the screaming when they see this place. They’ve been really disciplined and haven’t come out to look at the progress at all.”

“I think they’ve been so engrossed in planning, it’s helped keep their minds off this,” Flynn says knowingly. He’s been bringing them snacks over the past few days. “Aisling also had a lot of questions for me about the dating service we went through when we first met, too.”
