“Yeah? Is she thinking about reaching out to Hollis?” Shaw asks. “It wouldn’t be a bad idea as a way to pick her mind for how to help omegas connect safely with other packs.”
“Exactly,” Flynn says, nodding as we do another walk through the shed. “I gave her Hollis’ name and number, and they’re going to have a meeting next week. Wren has also been talking with her brother because they’ve set the date for the fundraiser.”
“When is it?” Shaw asks, pulling out his phone to put it in the calendar.
“July first,” Flynn says with a small smirk.
“Fuck, that’s in like three weeks,” I grunt, eyes wide. “We’re going to have to hope it all works around your heat.”
“Ah, possibly Wren’s heat too. The doctor says that it may come back with a vengeance as she gets more settled and feels safer,” Flynn says, his neck flushing.
“Baby boy, did you keep that in your back pocket to tell us now?” Shaw growls. Yeah, I had no idea about this either.
“There was no real way to broach it till now,” our omega says with a shrug. “Are you going to spank me for it, Daddy?”
Flynn perfumes as we groan, adjusting ourselves.
“We should probably air out their shed before I’m forced to fuck you over the sofa arm,” I mutter, opening a window.
Flynn grins as he opens a window as well, and we walk outside to get the girls.
“I definitely want to talk to Corbin at some point, and do our due diligence and get back to interrogating Crowson before we kill him. I want to eliminate anything and anyone who may pose a danger to us,” Shaw grunts.
“You will,” Flynn says simply with a smile. “If you can tell me when that’s going to happen, I’ll see if Aisling wants to come over for pizza and a movie with Wren and I.”
The simplicity of his statement makes me smile in happiness. Flynn’s been pretty isolated because of his social anxiety for years. He’s always insisted that he was happy with us, and didn’t want to make friends. It also shows our idea of normal is different from others, because of our need for security.
The other omegas in the families are also really fucking catty, and made Flynn want to stab them, even though he’s not typically violent.
“I think that’s a fantastic idea,” I say with a nod. “Aisling seems nice.”
“She is,” Flynn confirms. “I sat in on one of their brainstorming sessions, and they asked me questions about what a male omega needs who may not have proper support.”
“Good,” Amb says. “I read the other day that there’s a rise in homeless male omegas. Their parents expect them to be betas or alphas, and are disappointed when they aren’t.”
Flynn makes an annoyed sound, and I know he’s thinking about his parents. He was really lucky that they’re so amazing. Linking my fingers in his, I decide something.
“When things are a little more settled, we should go see your parents,” I say. “They can meet Wren.”
Flynn’s eyes light up, and Amb and Shaw purr in agreement.
“Sounds like we have some plans to make,” Shaw says with a smile as we walk into the house. “Okay, ladies, your surprise is ready.”
As we walk into the living room, Aisling and Wren grin up at us from the couch. I know they can’t see the shed from where they’re sitting.
“What are you two up to?” I ask, smirking.
“Nothing, just solidifying some things,” Aisling says, standing.
“Hollis said that she’s willing to help us with figuring out a service for omegas to find packs, if they’re interested,” Wren explains. “Our goal is to create a full service outreach and shelter for omegas.”
“We’ll start with Minneapolis, which isn’t far from here, and find a building that’ll work from some of the fundraiser money raised,” Aisling says. “I have a list of people to send invitations to for it. They’re all printed, I just need to pop them in the mail later today.”
“I think omegas should run the world,” Ambrose says, dazed. Wren grins as she walks up the steps of the living room to give him a hug.
“Good alpha points you’re racking up there,” Aisling teases as we start walking toward the back door.
“You’re getting together what most people have passing thoughts about and never follow through on,” I remind her. “I would definitely invite the mayor and city dignitaries to this if they’re not already on the list.”
