"Tomorrow…" Her smile widened, meeting the twinkling of her eyes. "Is perfect."

The shouts around us startled us, as Sali, Maggie, Anita, and Marita grabbed us in a raucous sports-like huddle. Our laughter matched theirs and Nora's eyes welled up while she looked at me, astonishment widening them.

"Today for Maya, tomorrow for us," I spoke against her mouth.

"Every tomorrow." She pressed her finger to my lips. "For us."

I nodded while gulping down the swell of emotions caused only by her. She lifted my chin to kiss me, and I caught her in it, dipping her backward after. Her laughter ended our connection, and I pulled her up to spin her in a circle. Nora's happy squeals shone as bright as ever. Surrounded by our friends and our chosen family, we would share a special tomorrow, but for today, we would celebrate the mending of many hearts, and the merging of two of the most deserving.

"Nora," called Maya, her red-face matching that of her wife. "We're ready for cake."

Maya's smile, radiant and happy set off a wave of pride in me that I didn't expect. Vivian stood beside her, the two of them glowing with the flavors of their elation.

Nora grabbed both of them in a bountiful hug and kissed their cheeks. "Let's do this cake smashing thing."

I laughed at them and Nora tossed me a grin over her shoulder. The wink that followed forced my swollen heart to burst.

"You're killin' me, Kitten!"

"Deal with it, Beast." She grinned, wagging her brows at me. "Forever."

I cracked up and sauntered after her, unable to wipe the smirk from my face.
