Page 73 of Xavier

I find a cute summer dress and hold it up for Xavier’s opinion. He glances at it before nodding.

Not the best response, but it’s better than nothing.

We head up to the counter, and once again, Xavier pays for our swimsuits and a change of clothes.

When we are back in the car and heading to our next destination, Xavier breaks the silence and says, “I hope it’s okay that I booked us a room a couple of blocks from the beach. I figured being more secluded was better than being in a crowded hotel.”

“That’s fine with me. I just want to be able to relax.”

And fuck.

“Then I think you’ll like it because there’s a surprise waiting for you.”

I stare at him, waiting for him to spill the secret, but he doesn’t. He shakes his head and chuckles.

“Aww, come on. Tell me.”

He shakes his head.

I turn my body in my seat and lean across the center console to get closer to him. “Please? Please, please, please.”

“Are you really that impatient? You can’t wait five minutes?” His tone is teasing, and when I push my bottom lip out in a pout, he shakes his head and laughs.

“Fine. I got us a suite, so we will have more room and I’ll have a couch to sleep on instead of the floor.”

My smile falls into a frown.

He glances at me as he parks in the hotel parking lot. “What’s wrong?”

“I wouldn’t have suggested a hotel if I knew you were going to sleep on the floor or on the couch. They have rooms with two beds, you know.”

“Well, this room is going to be worth sleeping on the couch.”

I decide not to push the topic. If things go my way tonight, Xavier will be sleeping in the bed, naked, next to me after exhausting ourselves.

I carry our bags inside as Xavier checks in.

The lobby is exquisite, luxurious, and probably costs a small fortune. Xavier turns around and walks toward me with a grin on his face.

“Top floor.”

We take the elevator to the top floor. Looking around, I count the number of rooms on this floor.

Four.

Only four hotel rooms are on this floor, and it’s not a small building.

“Are these rooms the size of a house?” I ask in a whisper.

Xavier puts the keycard up to the magnetic reader. “We’re about to find out.”

He pushes the door open and allows me to step in first.

My mouth falls open, and I gasp at the opulence. “Wow. This is something else.”

I walk around the huge L-shaped couch and head straight to the wall of windows leading out to the balcony.

Several lounge chairs are lined up on one end of the balcony. A huge eight to ten person hot tub is in the opposite corner.
