Korben couldn’t help but imagine what he would be doing right then if it wasn’t for the fact that he had met Michael. In reality, Korben knew that he would most likely still be in his workshop attempting to come up with new candies or attempting to perfect his existing roster of tasty treats.

I’ve still got plenty of time for candy.

But now I’ve got a Daddy in my life too.

I just hope he feels the same as me…

‘Daddy, can I ask you a question?’ Korben enquired, pausing underneath a willow tree. ‘Do you think you’ve got enough time in your life to look after a Little? You can be honest, I just want to know from the beginning if I’m being unrealistic in what I hope we could be.’

Korben waited for Michael to respond.

However Korben didn’t need to wait too long. Before Korben knew it, Michael cracked into a big smile and wrapped his arms around him.

‘Baby boy, I’ll always have time for you,’ Michael said. ‘Prior to meeting you, I wasn’t sure if I had space in my life for anyone else. But you just had to show up and change all that, didn’t you? Now I don’t think I could imagine you not being around.’

‘Me too,’ Korben said, his heart fluttering as the reality of the situation dawned on him. ‘It’s moving fast, but it feels so right.’

Daddy feels the same about me as I do for him.

This is real.

It might even be… forever.

With that, the two of them continued their walk toward the fabled ice cream stand. At that point in time, Korben wouldn’t have cared if it was the worst ice cream in the city. All that Korben cared about was the fact that he was spending time with Michael.

Exciting times lay ahead for Korben’s Kandies, and for his relationship with Michael.

But what Korben truly couldn’t wait for was when his and Michael were going to take the next big step together…

Chapter 10

Michael

The next two weeks flew by.

Michael might have been as busy as ever with his vast array of business interests and high profile investment deals, but what made things extra special was the fact that him and Korben were working together both during the day and at home too.

Things between Michael and Korben were heating up, there was no denying that.

Amongst the plentiful punishments and hot and heavy action that came close to going all the way on several occasions, Michael was loving the fact that he had a burgeoning relationship that fitted in so well alongside his business life.

Korben was happy too, and Michael loved nothing more than helping his darling boy to develop Korben’s Kandies – even if that did mean he needed to administer some tough love when Korben became too headstrong or decided to sass him one time too many.

However, with Korben enjoying a playdate with his fellow Little friends that night, Michael thought he might have been at something of a loose end. But Michael hadn’t banked on the fact that both Max and their buddy Harrison would insist that he come out for a whisky or three at Ice Bar…

‘Here’s to our baby boys,’ Max said, raising his glass to toast.

‘The Little Life,’ Harrison said, a broad smile on his face. ‘And it’s great to be hanging out with you guys again. It’s been a minute.’

‘It sure has,’ Michael replied. ‘How’s that new book coming along, Harrison?’

‘Slowly,’ Harrison said, rolling his eyes. ‘Honestly, I know it’s part of the process, but this sonofabitch might just be my last novel if I can’t get over the line in the next few months. But having Benji in my life has saved me from tossing the manuscript out on more than one occasion.’

Michael nodded.

Harrison and Benji were a great Daddy and Little pairing. Michael had seen them fall in love and their relationship go from strength to strength. It had been beautiful to witness, even if at the time Michael could only imagine how good it must have felt for them. But now with Korben in his life, Michael truly appreciated just how good it was to have a supportive, loving, and sweet darling boy.

Michael loved coming to Ice Bar. Being a strictly Daddies-only bar, Michael loved knowing that the vibe would be relaxed, sophisticated, and fully equipped with some of the best mood lighting in the whole city. With its plush armchairs, mahogany floors, and soothing jazz soundtrack playing, Ice Bar was a great place to come and meet with friends.
